Star Cruises Annual Dinner 2008

This year's Star Cruises annual dinner was held recently at the Sheraton Hotel, Subang Jaya. The theme for the event was ‘Oscar Nite’.
I must say it was really wonderful event as everyone was dressed to the nines and the atmosphere was filled with excitement! The night was lined up with many programmes, ranging from live music, lucky draws, best dressed male/female, best hairdo and a performance by the Sexy Divas. Colin Kerr who was the master of ceremony for the night was effortless with his jokes and kept everyone on their toes. The official event ends at 10.30pm and the unofficial event (party, clubbing) start after that and ends at 12 midnight.
Kudos to the committee for making the event a night to remember.
Buffet style menu. Not much time to enjoy the food as there are so many lucky draw announcement & the jaw dropping performance! The food is just so-so. I rate the food as 6/10. Presentation slide on the passing of the great founder.

Jack Daniel's Whiskey Choc

This is my first review on chocolate. I brought this chocolate on ship. I still can't find it in supermarket here in Malaysia. I can only find other variants of this chocolate such VSOP & Marinerer in Cold Storage & Isetan. For me, this chocolate is quite special as it has liqueur in the center & it mix well with the chocolate. It is produced Goldkenn from Swiss. Goldkenn also produces chocolate which has the same shape of 1kg standard gold bar.

Taste: 7/10 (Contains pure liqueur but lack the pure chocolate taste).
Price: 4/10(Near expensive)

After back from FGS Dong Zen temple, I feel a bit tired & hungry. I went to try on this new open Dragon-i outlet to have some snacks & try out their pao.

Dragon-i
Taste: 6/10 (moderate - their xiao long pao with soup inside is quite tasty but others just so-so).
Price: 3/10 (Expensive)
Dessert - with barley, gingko nuts & quail eggs.
Xiao long pao with tasty soup inside. They have another version of xiao long pao which is ok only.

Early Election Calls

There are a few reasons why the current government call for an early election. They still have 15 months to go before the term expire. Below are some of the theories:
1. The rising of goods prices over the last few months is quite obvious especially after a big rise of flour price in september 2007. For those who don't know, the enriched flour price increased from RM1.60 to RM2.60!
2. Feel good feeling as most is still in festival mood.
3. School holiday. SPR need to use school as voting station.
4. The world oil prices have been reaching USD 100 on a few occassions and the current government is unable to bear it any longer with out increasing the oil prices.
5. To have a fresh mandate before situation getting worse (inflation, increase cost of leaving, demonstrations & lose of confidence).
6. Opposition don't have any big issues to woo the voters.
7. To prevent DSAI from contesting in this general election.

Wisma Genting

Today is my first time I come to wisma genting office for meeting. I take company bus to go there. Depart from Klang at 7am and arrive the office at 8.25am. I think not as bad as I think. After office the bus depart at 5.10pm & arrived klang at 6.30pm. While I am there, I am able to snap a few photos around wisma genting & pavillion. I never think that pavillion is that near to my future office. Just across the main road!

3G Wireless Celcom Broadband

It almost 4 months since I started using the Celcom wireless broadband and I think that I should give a second opinion on it. On my previous review on Oct 2007, I gave a negative comment on this service. However, now I am able to provide a positive comment on this service. This service is not that bad after some tweaking done on the 3G PC card to switch GPRS mode to 3G mode. I am able to get around 300kbps on the connection speed. However there still room for improvement on the stablility of the connection.

Toilet Etiquette

There seems like many people still need to be reminded on the toilet etiquette. As working adults they should know it. Anyway, kudos to the department which introduce these interesting sign for education purposes.

Some people have to pull until nearly 10 pieces of paper just to rub dry their precious hands. For me, even one is enough to dry my hands even without shaking my hands. Some thinks they can use as much as they want as they are not paying for it. Do you think they did that at home? I don't think so. Save the environment, just use it when necessary & don't be wasteful.

Am the people suffer from osteoporosis or what until they are not able to bent to push the lever by hand. Kicking will make it spoilt & may cause others who use hand to operate it dirty.

Kindly stand close to the urinals. Don't need to show your XXX la. Not standing close enough may dirty the floor & makes awful smell.Always lift the plastic cover when pee using the sit toilet. Think about others & the disabled who need to use it.
You see. They need the extra fan to discard all the smells. Haha...
