Yap Beng Bak Kut Teh @ Pandamaran, Port Klang

This bak kut teh shop is famous for its dry bak kut teh and stir fry shark meat. This shop is located at Jalan Nipah (near shell & mobil petrol station) in Pandamaran and its near Jalan Kim Chuan main road.

Taste:8/10(Good. Their stir fry (kung po style) shark meat is really good but they wet bak kut teh is disappointing. I haven't tried their dry bak kut teh yet).
Price:6/10(Moderate. A clay pot of wet bak kut teh at MYR9.00 & a pan of stir fry shark meat will set you back MYR15.00).

Wet bak kut teh. Normal version of bak kut teh with lots of soup.

Dry bak kut teh. Is about the same as kung po style dried meat.

Stir fry shark meat. The kung po style shark meat with dried chilies, ladies finger, onion, ginger & soy sauce. This dish is really good.

Fong Lye Taiwan Restaurant @ The Gardens Mid Valley, KL

After a busy shopping in Jusco Mid Valley during JCard member day, I suddenly think of this restaurant. It offers less spicy food and the price is still reasonable. I ordered the black pepper beef and chicken with scallion sauce. The environment here is nice and confortable with soft PVC sofa. The furniture, cups, bowls and tea pot in use is cute and adorable. This is actually the second Fong Lye restaurant in Malaysia after the branch in Desa Sri Hartamas.

Taste:7/10(Moderate. The black pepper beef meat is nice and tender. But the chicken meat is abit hard. The chicken also not enough flavour).
Price:4/10(I would consider the food here is over priced. But this restaurant offers the best price in The Gardens).

This is how the main enterance look like.

Good looking purple menu.

Oolong tea. The teapot looks special.

Most of the menu here comes with set.

The black pepper beef is served hot.

Pork Noodles @ Behind Istana Hotel, Kuala Lumpur

This pork noodles stall is located at Jalan Mesui behind Istana Hotel which is located at Jalan Raja Chulan. The stall is in Restaurant Fulon Seafood. The other stall in this restaurant is selling wantan mee. The pork noodles is really good and this place usually packed during lunch time. But the restaurant gets very hot when it is crowded and the ventilation is bad. Hot air keeps circulating inside the restaurant without the system to pump out the hot air.

The noodles has a lot of ingredients. The meat marinated in soy sauce and corn flour to smoothen it. Others ingredients include minced pork, sliced pork, liver and lettuce. The soup is clear and has natural sweetness in it.

Taste:9/10(Good. The pork meat is tender and he soup is full of flavour).
Price:8/10(Cheap. Among the cheapest stall in Bukit Bintang area. The portion is quite large and only priced at RM4.20).

Pork noodles with deep fried garlic in a spoon.

Flood in Klang

Today is the only day I reached company late. Aheem... not only me late, but around 150-200 employees late. All is because of flood near the Federal highway Sungai Rasah toll plaza in Klang. The flood is quite bad as it is caused by 1-2 hours of rain. Traffic jams were bad. The vehicles queue is around 5km long! The famous bak kut teh area were flooded too. The picture below show you how severe the flood was.

Madam Kwan's @ Pavilion, KL

I have heard a lot about the Madam Kwan's nasi lemak and this time I went down to Pavilion for the taste of their ever famous nasi lemak. Their chicken rendang serving was large and I was very full after finished that dish. The nasi lemak was not too spicy and it is quite delicious. For most of us, RM14 for a dish of nasi lemak is not worth it. But once you tried, it is not that bad after all.

Taste:9/10(Delicious. Among the best nasi lemak that I ever tasted. Their nasi lemak is on par with the nasi lemak served by Malaysian Airlines).
Price:3/10(The food here is quite expensive but the quality is good and the portion is large. Service is good and food served fast).

Nasi lemak. The nasi lemak dish consist of fragrant rice, two pieces of curry chicken, half boiled egg, acar, anchovies sambal & chicken floss (RM14.50).

Nasi bojari. The portion is quite large. Comes with one fried chicken drumstick and assam prawn (RM19.50).
