Tony Roma @ Fremont Street, Las Vegas

Me and my friend came here for dinner expecting something special with cheap lobster in Las Vegas. But the meal turn out to be not that good. Seems like Las Vegas is bad in food.

Taste:5/10(The lobster saved this meal. The lobster is good and well done. The beef is rather hard and rubbery. Potato is tasteless and blend. Good looking meal but not turn out to be good).
Price:8/10(Cheap. This is a promotion meal. You can get it after 9.00pm. At 12 USD, it is one of the best value. However because of the bad beef, making this meal not worth for money).

Bresford Hotel @ San Francisco

San Francisco is a really beautiful city. However, the accommodation price in San Francisco is rather expensive. The best thing about this hotel is its central location. The price is reasonable with such a good location and not located in dangerous neighbourhood. Its is just 2 minutes walk fron Union Square and near Powell Street Bart station which is connected to San Francisco airport(SFO).

The hotel features an on-site restaurant and offers Victorian-style guest rooms with a minibar and cable TV. Guests have access to the business center with free Wi-Fi and a tour desk with local area information. Beresford Hotel provides a daily breakfast that includes fresh fruit, bread and cereal. It is also within walking distance to Chinatown. I recommend this hotel to any visitors to San Francisco but be warned that the room is a bit small and don't have air condition. Fan is provided. I found that is ok as the air from out side the window is quite cooling at night. On price side, its around USD90 per night.

Rating:8/10(Recommended. Good location and clean. However the room is a bit small).

Rather small room but clean and near to the places we wanted to go. More importantly, it is not located on the beggar prone area.

Bathroom is still on the par.

No air-cond provided. However, the wind outside is quite cooling at night.

Havana Cafe in Tropicana Hotel & Casino @ Las Vegas

Taste:3/10(Last minute and quick dinner turn out to be bad burger).
Price:USD 10 for this beef burger is simply not worth it. Not only does the meat is tasteless and it is rather hard also. The worst meal I had in this US trip! I heard this cafe already closed.

This is how the burger look like.

US Trip Food Galore (Park City - Las Vegas - San Francisco)

It has been some time that I didn't blog about food. This is food blog anyway. I have shared my US travel and now I would like to continue to blog on the food there. Overall the food in US is not as good if compared to Malaysia. The food choices there is quite limited and the taste is rather blend. For me, the food here is expensive if taken into account of our exchange rate of USD 1 to RM3.40. Each meal here cost around USD 8-20 (equal to RM28-RM70) depending on what & where you eat. Plus tipping, around USD 1-2.

Vietnamese food at Little Saigon (Park City, Utah-Dinner)
Taste:7/10(The chicken meat in the glass noodles if rather blend and the meat is over cooked. However, other dishes is quite ok).

Deep fry spring roll & Non-fry spring roll. The taste is fantastic.

The spring roll is nicely done with prawn, rice vercimili, vegetables & transparent wrap. Dip with peanut sauce and carrot sour sauce.

Glass noodle with chicken meat. The chicken meat is too much and not salty enough!

Beef noodles.

Bajio (Park City, Utah-Dinner)-CLOSED

With sweet pork version.

Vegetarian version.

Cute package with lunch set inside. Delicious sandwich of choice - ham, turkey, bacon & vegetarian, pasta, apple & biscuits.

Bacon & ham sandwich.

Nutritious pasta.

There is no chili sauce here. Mayonnaise, mustard(I hate it) & tomato sauce.

Tony Roma (Fremont Street outlet, Las Vegas, Nevada-Dinner)

Restaurant Imperial @ Bukit Tinggi, Klang

I was invited to a wedding dinner of my ex-colleague. The restaurant is quite near to my house and quite easy to go there. Other than a wedding dinner, it is a reunion dinner for me. We laugh & update each other about our whereabout after we seperated. Anyway, it was a fun affair and we do enjoy the bunch of company there. I knew this restaurant from another food blogger who blog about the nice dim sum here. I always wanted to try their dim sum here but until now I have yet to try their dim sum.

Hooters @ San Francisco

Hooters is a restaurant whose waiting staff are primarily young, attractive waitresses usually referred to simply as "Hooter Girls" whose revealing outfits and sex appeal is played up and is a primary component of the company's image.

This is interesting. A caption on wikipedia.
Female employees are required to sign that they "acknowledge and affirm" the following:
1. My job duties require I wear the designated Hooters Girl uniform.
2. My job duties require that I interact with and entertain the customers.
3. The Hooters concept is based on female sex appeal and the work environment is one in which joking and entertaining conversations are commonplace.
4. I do not find my job duties, uniform requirements, or work environment to be offensive, intimidating, hostile, or unwelcome.

Taste:6/10(Not too sure what to order but the food turn out to be so-so. Heard that their best menu is buffalo wings. Didn't try that. They salad is not enough mayo and not enough oil. As you may know, Hooters major attraction is their ladies waitress).
Price:On par with most fast food restaurant.

Restaurant with many photo sessions with their visitors.

American style restaurant.

Fries with baked bean.

Colleague house warming steamboat

Recently, I attended a colleague house warming party in Selayang, Selangor. It is a well done steamboat party with lots of food to eat and drink. Meat, chicken, vegetables, noodles, eggs, prawn, soft drinks, wine, banana cake, home made tiramisu cake and home made peach cheese cake. Not only have food to eat, but we were entertained with the wedding video shown to us.

A pot of soup for steamboat.

There were sausages, fish ball and meat ball.

Fish noodles.

Just throw all the ingredients in there.

Look at all the RAW material here.

There are prawns, squid and noodles.

Smooth and slimy squids.

What a miss if steamboat without these prawns.

The flour items to make tummy full.

Home made tiramisu toffee.

Home made peach cheese cake and banana cake + tiramisu toffee as the background.
