Seibu food hall @ Ikebukuro, Tokyo

Japan is famous for its huge departmental stores based underground food hall. These food hall are huge and selling a variety of food stuff from cheap and simple sushi take away box to expensive Japanese honey dew. These food hall are known as depachikas. You can see many varieties of confectionary, Japanese treats, bread, fish, meat, whole foods, fresh produce, tofu, pickled vegetables, ready-made meal, sushi, packed lunch and cakes here. The price of the food here is not cheap. However, you can see the best food decoration here and sample among the best Japanese food. This is a place to go if you wish to try out many Japanese food in a short period of time. Other than that, it is a great place to find gift to someone you appreciate or love.

I tried out the green tea cake. Quite good though. The cream inside the cake is amazingly nice. Seems made with egg.

Wow, they even have kimchi here.

Crazy parking rates here. You may not want to drive in Tokyo as the public transport is very convenient.
