Tappers Cafe @ Oasis, Ara Damansara

Tappers cafe located in new commercial area of Oasis of Ara Damansara, offer extensive menu of Colonial, western, local and Hainanese food. They also offer value for money set lunches from MYR10.90 to MYR14.50 with drinks. With great ambience and many menu to choose from, it is a good place to have lunch for those working nearby Ara Damansara.

Taste:6/10(Moderate. The taste of the menu that they serves is average. Their Hainanese chicken chop does not impress me as the sauce and the potatoes does not taste great. The spaghetti don't have much ingredient and basically the spaghetti meal is not that value for money unless you are a small eater. As of the fish burger, the patty is fried with chips which taste average as well).
Price:7/10(Moderate. Set lunch start at MYR10.90 to MYR13.90. Hainanese chicken chop at MYR13.90, spaghetti olio at MYR14.50, Panini fish burger at MYR12.90 and chicken parmigiana at MYR13.90).

Hainanese chicken chop. Served with potato and peas.

Chicken parmigiana. Mozzarella and parmesan cheese melt over breaded chicken in spaghetti tomato sauce served with chips and coleslaw.

Panini fish burger. Deep fried fish fillet with tartare sauce, cucumber, tomato on Panini toast served with chips.

Spaghetti olio. Spaghetti olive oil with mixed herbs with oysters and mushroom. The taste of this meal is just average and seems expensive when compared with others.

Cosy air-conditioned environment inside Tappers cafe.

Marutama Ramen @ Fahrenheit 88, Kuala Lumpur

I was looking for fast and simple meal in Fahrenheit 88 and suddenly I saw this ramen restaurant which have many patrons inside and Marutama Ramen always rated high on the reviews. So I decided to have a try. They have two outlets which is in Fahrenheit 88 and Empire Shopping Gallery in Subang Jaya.

Taste:8/10(Good. I can say the ramen is quite tasty but a bit salty. The noodle were moderate but the some is quite great. You can feel the nutritional value in the soup).
Price:5/10(Near expensive. Price wise, it can be considered expensive as MYR18.00 for a bowl of basic ramen. I add an additional ajitama egg for MYR2.00).

Good and tasty ramen with spring onions. The soup is salty and the pork is delicate and tasty. The noodles is moderate.

The egg and pork is good. I added Ajitama which is seasoned egg and the egg is runny inside which is great.

Unlimited garlic chips and roasted sesame seed for flavouring. What's lacking is that they should provide raw garlic instead which have even more pungent smell.

Hotel Everest @ Frankfurt, Germany

The breakfast provided by this budget hotel is surprisingly good. The selection is great and proper breakfast. The location is quite central and it is just two stations away from the major attractions in Frankfurt. The free wifi service provided is stable and fast. Shower is good with strong water pressure.

However, the distance from the Frankfurt train central station is still within walking distance but it is a 15 minutes walk in the hot summer sun. No air condition in the room and if you have heavy luggage, there is no lift on the building.

Rating:7/10(Moderate. Central location and clean).
Price:7/10(Moderate. I paid EUR35 per night for this single room hotel room. I only stay one night here).

Complete room with bath room except the toilet bowl which is shared outside the room.

With small TV and desk.

Breakfast. Bread, scramble egg, cheese & cake.

Seibel's Park Hotel @ Munich, Germany

Good breakfast and the location is near Pasing train station. However, you need to take bus 160 to Pasing train station. The bus is quite frequent, just outside the hotel and 5 minutes ride to Pasing train station. From Pasing, you can get to Munich city centre in 15 minutes. The wifi connection is good. This hotel however has no air condition or fan in the room which is quite hot during summer. The room have a shared balcony which other people may walk to your room if you don't lock the door or window (no privacy and security concern). Can smell someone smoking out side if you open the window.

Rating:7/10(Moderate. Location wise is moderately convenient. You can travel easily using both bus and S-Bahn to get to the city centre. Its warm during hot summer. Wifi connection is good).
Price:5/10(Near expensive. Although this hotel is rated as budget hotel but the price is not cheap. It has no air condition in the room. Maybe the summer season the price is higher as well. I paid around EUR70 per night for the standard single room. But in the bedroom has two single bed).

Its a huge room for my own.

Toilet were clean.

Continental breakfast. The breakfast is quite good. Complete with hams, sausage, honey, jam and marinated tomatoes with balsamic vinegar.

Variety of breakfast menu. Cheese, smoked hams, buns, cereals, jam and cinnamon rolls.

Another lovely breakfast. Ham, bakery, seasoned tomatoes, cakes and jams.

Food area. Its buffet style of breakfast.

Fantastic butter pretzel from Yorma's Germany

One of the commonest thing that you can find in Germany bakery shop is huge pretzel. Their pretzel is tasty and have a strong salty taste. There are many variant. With butter, ham, salad, chives and chocolate. I going to review the butter with chives pretzel below.

Taste:9/10(Delicious. Good and tasty pretzel. The butter is melt in your mouth. Together with the baked fragrance of pretzel, it blends well with the flavour of both butter and chives).
Price:7/10(Moderate. This is considered as a simple meal and many people who are in the rush will just pack and take away a pretzel. You can get full by consuming just one of these pretzel. For butter and chives pretzel, it cost EUR1.25. For unflavoured, just with salt, price at EUR0.55).

My giant butter and chives pretzel.

You can find Yorma's at major train stations around Germany. However, it has more outlets in Munich compared to other cities in Germany.

Getreidegasse @ Salzburg, Austria

Getreidegasse (also known as Grain Lane) is a busy shopping street in the Old-Town section of Salzburg. There is a house at no. 9 Getreidegasse where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born and he lived until the age of 17. The narrow lane and the unique signboard will make you feel that you are in Christmas town. This place will look superb if its snow.

Mirabell Palace and Gardens @ Salzburg, Austria

Mirabell Palace is centrally located so one can actually visit while going around the city and if you are looking to take a break for an hour. The garden is beautiful with a huge variety of flowers and is easily accessible using public transport. Located very close to Mozart House. You can sit and relax amidst lovely surroundings. The palace with its gardens is a listed cultural heritage monument and part of the Historic Centre of the City of Salzburg UNESCO World Heritage Site. This palace is popular partly due to several scenes from The Sound of Music were recorded here. Maria and the children sing 'Do-Re-Mi' while dancing around the horse fountain and using the steps as a musical scale.

Weisses Brauhaus @ Munich, Germany

This is one of the most traditional pubs in Munich. The environment is as authentic as it was as the waiter and waitress dress in dirndls and lederhosen. They serve Schneider Weisse which is the oldest weissbier (wheat beer) brewery in Bavaria.

Taste:7/10(Moderate. The meat in the breaded veal spleen sausage is soft and juicy).
Price:5/10(Near expensive. The veal spleen sausage breaded with potato salad price at EUR8.90 and the beer at EUR3.80).
