Banana leaf meal at Sri Nirvana Maju Restaurant @ Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur

Sri Nirvana Maju Restaurant has always been ranked high for Indian food in Time Out Magazine. This time I visit to try out myself to prove how good their banana leaf rice are. Located at a high end area with plenty of Western and fine dining eateries, this is a restaurant for those who are budget conscious. Although their banana leaf rice and drinks is slightly more expensive but their are still much cheaper compared to the fine dining or Western restaurant nearby. Beware of those who come here during lunch or dinner time as table is hard to get by. This restaurant is a mamak style restaurant with good combination of condiments in their banana leaf rice has made this restaurant popular and featured in many food review.

Taste:8/10(Good. The banana leaf rice is good with best combination of condiments which I can find. The best condiments in my opinion is the masala fried bitter gourd which is so tasty and crunchy. Other than that, the meal also comes with acar-raw marinated cucumber, papadam-crispy cracker, sour plum, rasam & fried chilli).
Price:6/10(Moderate. Banana leaf rice at MYR8.00 and lime juice drink at MYR1.80).

This masala fried bitter gourd is so good.

My complete banana leaf rice with acar, stir fry cabbage, masala fried bitter gourd, assam (sour plum), rasam (spicy Indian savoury soup), papadam (crispy cracker) & fried chilli.

My banana leaf rice.

Busy day at Sri Nirwana Maju Restaurant.
