Teo Chew fried kuey teow @ Jalan Imbi Hawker, Kuala Lumpur

This little stall located at Jalan Imbi open air hawker centre has tasty fried kuey teow. This stall has been around for quite long and its operated by mother and daughter. The daughter doing all the cooking and frying while her mother assist her in bringing the food to the customers. What amazed me is her daughter memory of remembering all the orders from the customers without writing it while she was so busy frying kuey teow. She can remember each customer customized order which range from no chili, no cockles, no bean sprouts, more bean sprouts, 2 plates with cockles and 2 plates without cockles and so on! During my half an hours there, I don't see her mixed up the order and she can remember the sequence well.

Taste:9/10(Delicious. By default the preferred order here is fried kuey teow with noodles. You should order that as it taste good with cockles, prawn, bean sprouts, egg, fish cakes, kucai and enough wok hei).
Price:8/10(Cheap. Delicious plate of kuey teow at MYR6.50. You need to wait as the queue can be quite long at certain time).

Best food option to try if you happen to be at Jalan Imbi at night.

Pork Fillet @ Tonkatsu Anzu, Isetan The Japan Store, Kuala Lumpur

Tonkatsu Anzu is the first tonkatsu outlet in Malaysia which used premium aged black pork from Fukuoka. The pork fillets are aged for seven days to help tenderise the meat. They are then breaded and deep fried at high temperature to keep the outside crisp without losing the meat juiciness.

Taste:8/10(The pork loin was delicate and mostly lean meat with the right amount of fat. I like the completeness of the meal comes with fresh sesame, tonkatsu sauce and refillable cabbage. I opt for their pork loin over fillet as I prefer leaner meat due to healthy option but lack of melt in your mouth effect. Do sprinkle some salt, dip into tonkatsu sauce mixed with grinded sesame and with some mustard to get a nice complex taste).
Price:4/10(Near expensive. The Gin-jo pork loin katsu set shown below at MYR48.00. With 6% GST its at MYR50.90. High price but you get quality stuff here).

Gin-jo pork loin katsu set.

Large piece of pork.

Succulent meat with adequate fat.

You can choose either white rice or brown rice. I opt for brown rice.

As for soup, you can choose seaweed soup or bean soup. I opt for bean soup. Usually bean soup or miso soup is without beans. But here, you can chew the beans. Great.

Not sure what pickles is this. Taste good with the pork.

Sesame.

The ingredients for you to eat with your tonkatsu.

Shredded cabbage. Its refillable.

Ten Years is a chain restaurant serving great Malaysian cuisine such as nasi kerabu (salad rice), nasi ayam (chicken rice), rojak, fried kuey teow, pesembur, laksa nyonya and nasi kuning.

Taste:8/10(Good. I ordered their Ramadan combo set which consist of a plate of nasi kerabu and nasi kuning each. I found their nasi kerabu were quite good but it could be better if they include some salted fish. Nasi kuning and their chicken rice were moderate. After the meal, we ordered pesembur a local delicacy with prawn crackers, squid, egg, tofu and vegetables with peanut sauce).
Price:6/10(Moderate. The Ramadan combo set is quite value for money at MYR39.30 with two glass of free bandung drink. Steamed chicken rice at MYR17.40 and pesembur at MYR14.00).

Good roasted chicken at Dave's Deli @ Subang Parade, Subang Jaya

Dave's Deli is famous for their original quarter roast chicken. They also have slow cooked beef ribs, pasta meals, gourmet pies and grilled fish. As usual, I will always order the restaurant signature dish or they best for.

Taste:8/10(Good. I do recommend to order their quarter chicken set. The gravy taste good and sides are great as well).

I didn't put high expectation on this meal. It turns out to be good. The gravy taste great with tender roasted chicken.

Fuze Club Kuala Lumpur

Fuze Club Kuala Lumpur located at Jalan Kia Peng is just 5 minutes walk from Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. The crowd here are mostly young and their music are more to techno. Entrance price at MYR45.00 cover charge unless you purchase liquor bottle from their list of packages.

Review:6/10(Moderate. The club only have one main stage room with sizeable dance floor. The sound system and lightning is a bit lacking. Indeed during my visit, their sound system broke down twice! And have a moment of silence for 5-10 minutes each time while they sort out the technical issue. Somehow is a bit embarrassing to have this kind of issue. The DJs are boring at times with jumble up music tempo. Maybe its due to DJs effect. The DJs of the night was Naro and Chriz Ooi. Its kinda hard to follow and to expect the flow. Ventilation here is good as you don't feel strong smoky smell after the visit. Parking is available just outside the club).
