500 West Hotel @ Downtown, San Diego

After few days of research, I finally decided to book this hotel as my accommodation in San Diego. Its a single room with shared bathroom. The bathroom is clean. Basically this hotel is very good in terms of location. Its near to the trolley station, airport bus, Santa Fe station to take Amtrak train and it is within walking distance to Gaslamp Quarters. I stay here for 2 nights and not much issue with it. The only have two complain on this hotel: the room smell a bit funny and the lift is old and it jerks a while when it reaches each floor. Other than that, it is a very convenient hotel. The wireless Internet service here is provided by AT&T and the speed is quite fast.

On the ground floor, there is a Cafe where you can have your breakfast and you can have gym on their gymnasium. Besides that, if you plan to visit the USS Midway museum, it is just within walking distance. In other words, this hotel is near to the seaport and airport as well. Taking bus to airport is just less than 30 minutes. If you late flight at night, they also provide place for you to keep your luggage after you have check out. Another point is that, along the Broadway street, you will notice that all other hotels here are high class hotel such as US Grant Hotel and Marriott Hotel.

Rating:7/10. Recommended for backpackers and those who don't spend much time in the room. The greatest plus point is the location.

At least I have a table to put my things and surf net.
