Kelantan river cruise @ Kota Bharu, Kelantan

One of the latest attraction in Kota Bharu nowadays is the Kelantan river cruise. The cruise departs from Medan Ikan Bakar(MIB) Kota Bharu. The cruise operated from 9.00am until 5.00pm of the day. The cruise includes trip to see the surroundings of Teluk Renjuna & Pulau Beluru. Besides that you have chance to view the making process of kuih kapit in Pulau Suri. What's more is that you can drink freshly picked coconut juice and taste nipa palm seed! The trip is well worth at MYR20 with boat ride to the destinations. This trip is recommended for those who is going to visit Kota Bharu.


First we get ticket from this shop. The service is provided by Masseroja Travel & Tour. The shop is located at lot G-25 in MIB complex.

Lets try nipa palm seed. Locally its call buah nipah. Its tough to get the seed as the shell is quite thick.

Siti Khatijah market @ Kota Bharu, Kelantan

Siti Khadijah Market (Pasar besar Siti Khadijah), is a local wet market. Its name after Prophet Muhammad's wife, whom is known for her entrepreneurial skill, as this market is mostly run by women. Apart from the usual fresh goodies like seafood, vegetables and wide variety of fruits, you can also find ready-to eat food like 'ayam percik', nasi ulam and a variety of noodle soups, all unique in flavors and taste of Kelantan, serves freshly for you. Not to forget to taste the local desserts like 'kuih muih', tempeh and hot milk tea, which is the staple drink for Kelantanese.

Pasar wet market is featured in many documentary and TV programme. This is not a normal market. The market architecture itself is a fascinating sight. It was build in octagon shape and resembles the chinese 'pakua' shape. Another interesting feature is that every seller in the wet market is malay lady sitting at the centre of their stall. This market have 4 main section: wet market, dry stuff, clothes item & food court.

Warung Pak Mat @ Kota Bharu, Kelantan

Warung Pak Mat located in MIB (Medan Ikan Bakar) Kota Bharu, Kelantan is a must visit place for breakfast or lunch when visit Kota Bharu. Their spicy fish soup is full of flavour with strong spices taste is a must try meal. The taste is amazingly good as you get combined taste of fresh fish and beef tendon.

Taste:10/10(Excellent. The spicy fish soup with beef tendon is the best meal here. The spiciness of the soup with beef flavours makes this meal addictive. The honey pull tea is also great as well with the unique flavour and not overly sweet. Even the warm water here is special. Yes, I am surprised when I heard that the warm water here is special. When I tried the warm water, it does has a fragrant pandan leaves taste).
Price:8/10(Cheap. The meal price here is very reasonable. With the price of MYR174 for portion of 11 persons food and each of us is full and satisfied. This is place is of course recommended for lunch).


Excellent spicy fish soup with beef tendon.

The soup is so tasty.

So delicious that you can't stop eating it. However, beware as its spicy.

Fantastic honey pull tea. Its rich and sweet. The taste is different from normal milk pull tea. Available in both cold and hot.

The bubble is sweet and great in flavour.

Spicy beef rendang. The taste is good as its cooked using green chilli.

Honey fried chicken.

This is the famous spicy fish soup stall in Kota Bharu, Kelantan.
