This Lala Chong seafood restaurant is quite popular in Petaling Jaya area and have two branches. The main branch is just opposite the Terminal 3 of Subang Airport. Today, my colleague and I went to the Ara Damansara outlet to have a birthday lunch. We have around 8 dishes there, namely yee sang, stir fry pucuk paku, bean curd with loofah, dry style chicken, sweet & sour fish, fried sotong(squid), kong po style mantis prawn & stir fry Brussels sprouts. Overall, the dishes here is quite good but we missed out the main attraction here which is lala. Maybe every is not in the mood of trying their lala on that day. My stomach also can't withstand lala as I will get stomach ache if eat too much lala.
Taste:8/10(Good. My favourite pucuk paku were well prepared and the fried squid is crispy and added with salted egg which amplified the aroma. This is the first time that I tasted loofah which is well prepared. Its soft and sweet. The mantis prawn & the Brussels sprouts are rather ordinary).
Price:6/10(Moderate. The price is quite reasonable considering we ordered quite a number of dishes. The bill don't cost a bomb around RM260 for 11 persons).
No pork served.
Delicious pucuk paku.
Fried squid.
