Dining with Bellagio fountains view @ Mon Ami Gabi, Las Vegas, USA

This is my first meal in Las Vegas after long flight from Seoul. Since I am staying just beside the Bellagio resort, there are plenty of opportunity for photography and food hunting. Mon Ami Gabi provides both good food and outside tables that overlook the Las Vegas Strip. They are proud to be known as charming French bistro highlighting classics such as steak frites & onion soup, plus patio dining. They are famous for their steak dish. Do request to sit outside if there is seat available as you get to enjoy the Bellagio fountains while dining.

Taste:8/10(Good. Flavourful steak and good salmon salad. Their fries were good).

World Top 5 City Destinations

This post is just my personal opinion based on the place that I have visited so far. Some of the places maybe better than the places that I mentioned below but just because I haven't visit the place, doesn't mean the place is not nice. Each places below are rated based on 5 major criteria namely place of attraction, food, shopping options, cultural uniqueness and ease of travelling by public transport.

No 5: Munich (Score:38)

Awesome attractions which includes castle and concentration camp. Much history to learn from the city especially during the Nazi era. Being the largest city in Bavaria, the city is also the richest in Germany. Munich is well known for its annual Oktoberfest. The city has among the tastiest beer in the world. Munich always ranked high on the most liveable city list. The food with famous pork knuckles with beautiful historical architecture and people are polite as well.

No 4: San Francisco (Score:41)

San Francisco is a city which have fantastic view as the surrounding area hilly. Its walkable from one attraction to the others as the city small size. Famous for the Golden Gate Bridge, the weather in San Francisco is always foggy and it have a nickname of city by the bay. As the location near the sea and hilly, there is always constant breeze around the city makes travelling very comfortable in San Francisco. Food wise is delicious and good quality. Its also a city which is very liberal with many gay and lesbian restaurants.

No 3: Kyoto (Score:42)

Kyoto was Japan capital for more than 10 decades. The city have many historical attractions which is currently listed in UNESCO World Heritage sites. You will be amazed that more than 10 sites listed as World Heritage sites. Besides many old and historical buildings, it have a full functional Gion district which you still can watch working geisha walking around. During spring and autumn, this city boast the best cherry blossom and autumn foliage respectively in the World. You will be amazed at how beautiful it is during spring and autumn in Kyoto. The city is not as busy as Tokyo and very suitable for those who like to travel on slower pace to enjoy the scenery and learn about Japan traditional culture.

No 2: Paris (Score:45)

Paris itself is full of attraction. From the famous Eiffel tower to world class art museums. The city also have unique cafes which you can have a seat to enjoy the view while having tea or snacks. People here seems to relax and enjoying their life with spurge of luxury shops and high end dining places. Famous landmarks such as Louvre Museum and Notre Dame are in Paris. Do enjoy this city of romance.

No 1: Tokyo (Score:45)

Tokyo is the largest megalopolis in the world with modern living but in old fashioned manners. Super huge city but still clean and people are polite. Amazing food selection and best quality with suits every budget levels. I have been visiting Tokyo on multiple occasion but still haven't tasted anything bad yet. Book shops are everywhere and filled with manga and special interest magazines. The transportation system is unmatchable by other cities in term of punctuality and comprehensive coverage. Traditional looking shrines and stone lanterns also scattered around the cities with amazing selection of shopping malls, ramen shops, huge high tech electrical stores and brightly lited pharmacies. Weird fashion and the hippest can be found in Tokyo especially in Harajuku and Shibuya area where youngsters gather. In 2015, Monocle magazine has ranked Tokyo as the most liveable city in the world.

Comparison between Schott 141, Schott 641 and Schott 641HH

I am sure for those Schott leather jacket fan out there always having this same question in mind. These 3 leather jackets (Schott 141, Schott 641 and Schott 641HH) have the same design and style but different materials (naked cowhide, steerhide, horsehide). However, which one should I choose? All these are cafe racer design. Based on my experience with the 3 Schott leather jacket models, I can give you my opinion. Schott 141 and Schott 641 have zip out liner which is useful if you considering to wear the jacket year long. You can take out the liner during summer. The zip out liner provide an additional protection against cold and it looks better too if the liner are in there. Schott 641HH however has a quilted lining. This quilted lining is not as warm and thick as the zip out liner. You can still wear 641HH during summer but not during the hottest day. You will still comfortable if the temperature never hit above 24 C/76 F.

About the size and measurement, you should buy the jacket based on your true body size. If you usually wear 36 then you should buy size 36. Don't size up unless you have big belly. The only part that the jacket won't fit you based on true size is the waist part. For your info, Schott 641 and Schott 641HH are same size and have smaller waist compared to Schott 141. I am not sure why Schott always recommends their customers to size up one size. Maybe they have more American customers who have larger belly when compared to Asian. I have a flat stomach and true size fit me perfectly. Leather jacket suppose to follow the right size and get them tight but comfortable.

Another aspect to look at is the finishing on the jacket. The naked cowhide has no finish, dull in appearance and a more pliable feel to the leather. The steerhide has a finish applied to the leather leather will have a slight shine and a more firmer hand. The horsehide has a very shiny finish and a very rigid/stiff hand to the leather. About the weight, the horsehide jacket is lighter then compared to both cowhide version. The thickness of the leather seems same to me. It could be due to lining weight as the horsehide version is nylon based while the zip out liner is wool based.

I personally like the horsehide (Schott 641HH) as its more comfortable and I like the shiny finish. You will look better too in front of camera and it creates nice silhouette. If you want a beautiful break in jacket, I would advise to choose either Schott 641HH or 141. The naked cowhide tend to break in more beautifully when compared to steerhide version.

Budget stay at Trianon Hotel @ Amsterdam, Netherlands

The hotel room is clean and the location is good as well. Near by there are 3 tram stations Museumplein and two Jac Obrechtstraat stations. Easy accessible via tram from Amsterdam centraal station. If you prefer to take bus, you may take bus 197 to and from Schipol Airport and drop off at Museumplein station. Opposite the hotel across a main road, there is Albert Heijn supermarket which is good to stock up on food and buy some Dutch delicacies back home. It's within walking distance to Van Gogh museum and Rijksmuseum. The distance to the centre of Amsterdam is not that far. Just around 4-5 stations (10-15 minutes) away. Although this hotel comes with free WIFI but the WIFI connection in the lobby and in the room is not stable and the speed is slow. Keeps disconnected.

Rating: 7/10(Moderately recommended. The price is not cheap but the location is good. I suggest this hotel to person who don't mind about the other things other than the location).
Price: EUR300 for 4 nights. The stay here includes daily breakfast.
