Airport transfer via Taiwan High Speed Rail @ Taipei

Taiwan High Speed Rail or THSR which runs on the west coast of Taiwan provides a great alternative for people to travel from Taipei to Kaohsiung in less than 2 hours. The cost of travelling on these train is also cheaper than taking flight. As for business passenger, travelling by train is more convenient as they don't have to go thru tight security checking and they able to reach the train station without much time in advance. Me as a tourist, I found this train is very smooth and comfortable. The train technology is fully imported from Japan. So if you have been to Japan, sure you know that taking Shinkansen train is very expensive. You can experience the 700 series Shinkansen train by taking THSR from Taoyuan to Taipei by only paying TWD160 ~ MYR16 for reserved seat and TWD155 for free seating. One complain that I have is on why there is no THSR station in the airport? Usually people would like to take the train from the airport to Taipei as its save time. Without the direct connection, passenger have to take a shuttle bus which cost TWD30 to travel from Taoyuan International Aiport to THSR Taoyuan station. The journey takes around 20 minutes. While the journey by train from THSR Taoyuan station to Taipei takes another 20 minutes.


Finally reached airport after 4 hours 30 minutes journey from Kuala Lumpur.

You need to take bus from platform 12 from the airport to THSR Taoyuan station. Cost TWD30.

Kuala Lumpur to Taipei on Economy Class Malaysia Airlines

This is going to be my last trip of the year. As usual, this is my very last minute personal trip. Since Taipei is not that far and I like food very much, I think I should just visit and experience the city myself. And to visit Taipei, don't cost that much to me. I estimate that I should be able to do it with less than MYR1500 for a 5 days 5 nights trip. Again, I am choosing Malaysia Airlines this time. Just a review on their food. The food is good as I like their spicy shrimp paste with coconut milk rice (nasi lemak sambal udang). I would give 8/10 for the nasi lemak.


My breakfast on the flight. Nasi lemak as main course, warm bun with jam and butter, fruits - papaya, pineapple & grape, muesli bar, strawberry yoghurt and orange juice.

Eating establishment @ Park City, Utah

The Eating Establishment was opened in 1972 and holds the honor of being the oldest full service restaurant in Park City.

Taste:7/10(Moderate. The omelette and the burger is just normal and nothing to shout about. We are looking at other place for breakfast but unfortunately, all are closed).
Price:6/10(Moderate. Park City omelette price at USD10.45. The additional blue cheese at USD0.35 and the Chicago burger cost USD9.95).
