The park around Osaka Castle is a famous tourist attraction especially during sakura season and autumn. Osaka castle is significant as the castle is intended to become the center of a new, unified Japan under Toyotomi rule. It was the largest castle at the time (1583). The interior houses an excellent collection of displays relating to the castle, Toyotomi Hideyoshi and the city of Osaka. On the 8th floor is an observation deck with 360 degree views. The castle and park looks best during the cherry-blossom and autumn-foliage seasons.

Impressive Palace of Munich Residenz @ Germany

Munich Residenz is the former royal palace of Bavarian monarchs and it is the largest city palace in Germany. It is one of the most important museums of interior design. This palace is very easy to go as it is within walking distance of Marienplatz. This palace contains furniture, paintings and sculptures, today the museum contains bronze work, clocks, tapestries, porcelain and several special collections such as masterpieces of bronze art.


Antiquarium of the Residenz is the largest hall in north of Alps. Very classic and detail artwork.

Mirabell Palace and Gardens @ Salzburg, Austria

Mirabell Palace is centrally located so one can actually visit while going around the city and if you are looking to take a break for an hour. The garden is beautiful with a huge variety of flowers and is easily accessible using public transport. Located very close to Mozart House. You can sit and relax amidst lovely surroundings. The palace with its gardens is a listed cultural heritage monument and part of the Historic Centre of the City of Salzburg UNESCO World Heritage Site. This palace is popular partly due to several scenes from The Sound of Music were recorded here. Maria and the children sing 'Do-Re-Mi' while dancing around the horse fountain and using the steps as a musical scale.

Fontainebleau Palace - The gardens @ Fontainebleau, France

Besides the Fontainebleau main palace building, you should spend some time in its garden. The garden although not as huge as Versailles but it offers some beautiful landscape. The landscape here is simple but neat.

Fontainebleau Palace @ Fontainebleau, France

Fontainebleau is home to the kings of France from the 12th century. Located 55 kilometres from the centre of Paris, is one of the largest French royal palace. It is also the medieval royal hunting lodge of Fontainebleau, standing at the heart of a vast forest in the Ile-de-France, was transformed, enlarged and embellished in the 16th century by François I, who wanted to make a 'New Rome' of it. Surrounded by an immense park, the Italianate palace combines Renaissance and French artistic traditions.

To make your journey easier, I would recommend you to buy a day pass zone 5 ticket. This will enable you to take train until Fontainebleau Avon station from Gare de Lyon and then use the same ticket to Fontainebleau Palace via bus number 1.
