Pig & Whistle @ Hollywood, Los Angeles

Pig & Whistle located at a strategic location on Hollywood boulevard. I think this is the only outlet serving American style food on the street. The food is not bad and it has a very beautiful ceiling. Initially I thought this outlet will serve only pork dishes but on the menu, it look like just a normal American style menu.

Taste:7/10(Moderate. The shepherd pie is not bad and tasty but its just normal mixture of potato and meat. This meal however is very filling. The burger is just normal as well).
Price:4/10(Expensive. The pig & whistle burger cost USD10 while the shepherds pie at USD15.00. I ordered a glass of white zinfandel wine cost USD8.00. I am expecting something sweet on the wine but its not sweet enough. The gratuity is added to the bill at USD6.00. The total bill plus tax for all the meal cost USD41.90).

Kino Sushi @ Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles

Kino Sushi restaurant is just a walk away from the Hollywood Highland Metro station towards Hollywood Vine Metro station. It is just located on the opposite of Grauman's Egyptian Theatre & Pig N' Whistle.

Taste:9/10(Delicious. The portion are big and the food are fresh).
Price:6/10(Moderate. Cost USD 16 per bento set).

Self Tour in Los Angeles (Day 2)

After having our light breakfast, we start off our second day by heading to Chinatown in the morning. The Chinatown in LA is like an old folks town. Hardly seen any young citizen walking around there. The shops & streets are all occupied by old folks. There is not much attraction over here other than the main gate and fliming area. Movie like rush hour 2 by Jackie Chan and freaky friday.

Griffith Observatory
Sitting on the south-facing slope of Mount Hollywood in L.A.'s Griffith Park, it commands a view of the Los Angeles Basin, including downtown Los Angeles to the southeast, Hollywood to the south, and the Pacific Ocean to the southwest. The observatory is a popular tourist attraction with an extensive array of space- and science-related displays.

Self Tour in Los Angeles (Day 1)

I am quite satisfied with the trip to Los Angeles this year. Being a tour guide for my colleagues for a one day trip in Los Angeles turn out to be quite organized. I am glad that all the destinations planned for one & half day in Los Angeles are achieved and I am able to accomplish the Griffith observatory visit this year as I not able to do it last year. The food that we tried also quite good although I just choose the shop based on my instinct & tour book review.
