Japanese style teppanyaki dinner at Osaka Kitchen @ J'S Gate Dining, Lot 10 Kuala Lumpur

Osaka Kitchen located at in J'S Dining section on 4th floor of Lot 10 shopping centre in the heart of Bukit Bintang. They serve authentic Japanese style teppanyaki meal such as okonomiyaki, teppanyaki, yakisoba and grilled meat. The food were cooked on an iron griddle in from of diners. They have ala carte and course set meal. Choose set meal if you would like to try multiple items at cheaper price. This restaurant is quite famous as its the only restaurant in J'S Gate dining which has long queue. Plus the open kitchen concept is another attraction as you can see how fast those chefs are cooking your meal.

Taste:9/10(Delicious. Food quality and taste is quite good and food preparation are done by two Japanese chefs. I like all the meal served. Salad were fresh with sesame dressing. I enjoy more of their grilled chicken dish compared to their grilled pork dish. The grilled chicken has more seasoning, softer, crispy skin and tender meat. The grilled avocado with melted cheese is awesome. Japanese omelette with chunks of pork belly is tasty as well. As for okonomiyaki is a bit lacking of ingredients as it only contains cabbage and batter. Dessert comes with 3 choices of vanilla, green tea and yuzu. The best choice would be yuzu as the taste is refreshing).
Price:6/10(Moderate. Price were quite reasonable as I ordered one chicken special course and one pork course set meal. Chicken special course at MYR51.00 and pork course at MYR42.00. Green tea at MYR6.00. The special course come with okonomiyaki, rice and soup).

I recommend to try this shop due to not many such good Japanese style teppanyaki restaurant around in Kuala Lumpur. And the price is quite reasonable.

Oyster Night dinner at Champignons at Oasis @ Ara Damansara

Champignons in Oasis Ara Damansara is a French restaurant serving freshly made french cuisine. Visited them as they have their first oyster night. The food were good and they have many customers looking forward to try their oysters.

Taste:8/10(Good. The oysters were good and quite fresh but the selection is quite limited and small size. The restaurant has wrongly estimate the demand for their oysters and we feel not enough even though we have taken 2 dozens. The first round were ok but second round oysters were small. Truffle chicken breast with risotto mushroom taste great with very tender meat and smooth. Sausages were great as well. A bit disappointing that they only give one lamb sausage on the platter. It should have 2 each).
Price:3/10( Expensive. The oysters at MYR7.00 a piece, truffle chicken breast with risotto rice at MYR45.00, house wine at MYR30.00 and sausage platter at MYR35.00).

I would recommend you to come here to taste their well executed food such as the trufle chicken breast and their homemade sausages. They have a good lunch set deals as well but of course its for other menu.

The size of oysters on first round selection is quite big.

Good house wine.

Nice oysters but selection is quite limited. Second round oysters a bit small and seems not enough for the customers.

Best Paella in Kuala Lumpur @ Marta's Kitchen, Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur

Marta's Kitchen is one of the best Spanish restaurant in Kuala Lumpur. Finally found a place to have good paella in Kuala Lumpur. Their drinks are great as well. Service were good but need to wait for the food for a while.

Taste:9/10(Delicious. The paella here is the best that I tasted in Kuala Lumpur. The Valencian Paella is so rich with seafood flavour and packed generously with thick tender pieces of squid, chicken, prawn and mussels. The Pimientos padron pepper tapas were delicious as well. Smoked beef ham of Cecina were great as well. The octopus and the huevos rotos were just normal. Chocolate caramel churros were great but the catalana cream were just normal).
Price:3/10(Expensive. The food here is consider expensive as the portion is not that big. Their paella price at MYR37.00 is actually just good enough for one hungry person. Pimientos padron at MYR22.00, Cecina platter at MYR33.00 and huevos rotos at MYR27.00. House sangria at MYR26.00 a glass and gin at MYR30.00 a glass. The food is good but pricey).

Hot N Juicy Crawfish @ Las Vegas, USA

This place serve one of the nicest food that I had in Las Vegas. You order the food here by the pound. If you love spicy food, you have to try this place. Do take note that eating at this place can be quite messy. Avoid wearing white clothes or plain shirt. Depending on your tolerance for spicy, you can choose how spicy your food to be. Here they provide you plenty of plastic gloves to eat your food and food comes in bags.

Taste:9/10(Delicious. Do select the flavor as Hot N Juicy. And select the spicy level of one below the normal spicy level that you usually have. Even at mild level, its already spicy. Taste wise it really good especially with the sauce).
Price:6/10(Moderate. The price here is depending on what you order. The best value is the shrimp at USD16.00 for each pound. If you want to splurge, they have lobster and king crab leg at USD31.00 and USD35.00 for each pound respectively).

The popularity also could be due to many nightlife drinking place around the area and people come here to have their supper after drinking or clubbing since they open until 2.30am.

Taste:8/10(Good. Although this restaurant name is hokkien mee and known for their signature dish, but I found out their hokkien beehoon taste better. Advantage that they have is their crunchy pork lard which is yummy).
Price:5/10(Near expensive. Selling at MYR11 for a portion of the hokkien noodles. This at the air-conditioned side of the restaurant. Not sure about non air-conditioned side. Service wise is like they are lack of people. Parking is a problem here).

Delicious nasi lemak burger from myBurgerLab @ Sunway - SamsungPay redemption

myBurgerLab was inspired by the success of a few famous burger joint overseas such as ShakeShack (US), In-N-Out (US), Grill’d (Australia) and GBK (UK). They have done it well and invented many kinds of creative burger flavours that is delicious and with quality ingredients. When the food is good, people don't mind to pay slightly premium for it. The nasi lemak burger that I tried has all the necessary ingredients that a good burger should have. I know the burger is oily, messy and huge, but that is what a good burger should have.

Taste:9/10(Delicious. The nasi lemak burger does taste great. The fried chicken were crispy and juicy. Together with crushed anchovies and peanut butter a good combination. The burger not overly spicy and sambal chicken rendang were fragrant from the first bite).
Price:5/10(Near expensive. The nasi lemak burger priced at MYR18.80. Its not cheap for a burger but the ingredients and quality is awesome. I use my SamsungPay 550 points to redeem the burger so free dinner for me).

Their lunch set are quite reasonable at less than MYR20.00. I took their sashimi and unagi rice set as it seems to be the best deals from the available dinner sets. They also have quite a number of ala carte menu and omasake.

Taste:7/10(Moderate. Food served were normal. Presentation wise on the sashimi were good and I like their sashimi cut. Although the sashimi cut is small but its thick).
