Old fashioned cafe at Souka @ Subang Jaya

Souka is an old-fashioned bakery shop which is located at SS15 opposite the Subang Jaya Medical Centre. Their cakes are freshly handmade and the place is suitable for gathering among friends. The cafe environment is very intuitive and with nice ambience.

Taste:7/10(Moderate. Do come here for their coffee. That's the item which they done the best. The matcha cheese cake has too much cream and lack of green tea taste. The mint mojito taste were good but lacking alcohol making it an expensive drink).
Price:4/10(Near expensive. The price of food items and drink here are not cheap. You are paying for the nice ambience environment to dine here. Ordered their matcha cheese cake at MYR15.00 per slice, latte at MYR9.00 and mint mojito at MYR13.00. Do take note that the mojito is non alcoholic).

Nice old fashioned cafe.

Cakes selection. They have a variety of chocolate cakes.

Good latte.

The coffee uses RG Beans.

Matcha cheese cake which lacked the green tea taste. The cake is covered with green tea kit kat crumbs.

Green tea cheese cake with the flower.

Mint mojito.

Classic arrangement. Yum cha time.

Nice flower decoration on each tables.

Old tea box and ads on Pops Malaya ice cream.

Nice environment for discussion and to hang around.

The barista busy preparing our drinks.

Plenty of seating behind for quick lunch.

Souka also has sofa seating.

Reading materials.

Sin Kok Thye Coffee Shop @ Port Klang

My colleagues & I come to this restaurant for lunch. We have come to this old Hainanese style coffee shop quite a few times but I don't have chance to blog it before. This coffee shop offer many delicious meals that have its own special taste. I like their barley & hawker style food with fresh big prawn. Among the menus are chicken chop, loh mee, charcoal toasted bread, coffee, hailam mee & etc. This coffee shop is situated just in front of Port Klang wet market.

Taste: 9/10 (Delicious. The prawn and chicken meat are fresh. You will find many ingredients such as chicken meat and prawns inside your portion of fried rice or noodles).
Price: 8/10 (Cheap as food comes in large portion & the prawn are fresh. Each plate priced from MYR6.00).
Pork-free

Hailam rice vermicelli soup with fresh prawns.

Traditional settings in Hainanese coffee shop. You can still see the old school type of coffee cups.

Fried rice vermicelli. This dish have enough wokhei.

Loh mee in thick dark soy sauce gravy. Can add black vineger for extra taste.

Singapore style meehoon. They add a lot of extra ingredient & the presentation is nice too.

Fragrant fried rice

This barley drink is very refreshing
