Washington Metro mass transit system in Washington DC is the second busiest metro system in the United States after New York metro. The rail metro station have some unique characteristic as shown below.

Ronald Reagan National Airport has the distinctive golden colour. The airport is under tight security and close oversight by the federal government due to its proximity to the national capital. To show now near this airport, its is just around 12 minutes drive to White House.

Chicago metro - Chicago Transit Authority (CTA)

Chicago metro is the most convenient mode of transport to visit the place of attractions in Chicago. You can easily access Chicago downtown via metro from the two main Chicago airports as well (O'Hare & Midway).

Most of the stations in the loop are above ground.

Although I am only 4 days in Chicago but it still worth to purchase 1 week unlimited travel pass.

The unlimited travel pass can be used on bus as well.

Hotel Neptune @ Paris, France

For those who follow my blog, you are sure wondering where did I stay during my last trip to Paris. Due to my busy schedule, I only have the convenience to post this entry now. I booked this hotel a day before I reached Paris. The hotel accepts the booking and efficiently checked me in when I reached Paris early morning since there is empty room available. This hotel is clean, good location, fast wifi and friendly reception. The location is very good as its nearby supermarket (Carrefour), eating area and just within 5 minutes walk to Place d'Italie metro station which is the intersection for 3 metro lines (line 5,6,7). It also very convenient if you plan to take RER train. From Paris Nord, you can just use line 5 and reach this hotel directly without any transfer. Do bare in mind that you many not want many transfer in Paris as this means a lot of stairs climbing with heavy luggage. If you are someone particular about wifi, this hotel is good for you as the connection is stable and fast. Grocery shopping is also easy as Carrefour is just 10 minutes away and there is also bars and French and Chinese restaurants nearby. The bed is comfortable and toilet are clean. My 5 nights stay here is good and fully recommend this hotel for everyone. If you can speak Mandarin, language is not a problem here as most of the workers here are from China.

Rating:9/10(Recommended for everyone either solo traveller, budget traveller, partner or family. The location, service and wifi is great. The place is quiet and you can rest well at night after whole day of travelling in Paris).
Price:Around USD90 or MYR290 for a twin share room per night. Good for budget traveller who wants privacy and convenience.

New York Subway

New York subway is the best way to travel New York efficiently and cheap. The train is fast and comfortable. However, the stations is dirty, hot, smelly and if the train arrives, its like going to hit you! Fortunately the frequency of train is good. If not, you will be sweating like no body business. The subway is quite old. The first station was open in 1904. Although the subway is not the oldest in the world but the comfort level is lagged behind other older subway system such as London.

The subway system is a bit different compared to other subway system in the world. On the same track, they have different trains which stops at different stations. User should take proper care when taking the train by looking at the number, not just the colour line. Make sure that the destination station has the number of the train which you planning to take. This express and local train system is good for those people who want to just go straight to their destination without many stops. What makes New York subway even more confusing is the different schedule and stops during the weekend. So do always check the MTA (Metropolitan Transportation Authority) website if you were to travel via subway in New York during weekend. The subway station is only a few in the world which runs 24 hours. That's why it need to have scheduled maintenance especially during weekend.


Make sure you get this on the first day of your New York tour. Buy the one week unlimited subway ride if you stay more than 4 days in New York @ USD29. Each trip will cost USD2.50 if you don't use the unlimited ticket.
