Budget stay at Adelaide Hostel @ San Francisco, USA

The hostel is located near Union Square and quite easy for us to take bus / cable car to anywhere else in San Francisco. Privacy on each bed in the dorm as there were. The environment is quiet in dorm and respecting each other. The breakfast provided is the best that I have in any hostels that I have stayed in. They have varieties of bread, bagels and fruits. Good ambiance comfortable lobby close to metro station and bus stop. The disadvantage is the top bed is quite high when compared to other hostels that I have stayed in. Quite difficult to get up there. Limited number of bathroom.

Rating:8/10(Recommended for everyone either solo traveller and budget traveller. The location, service and wifi is great. The place is quiet and you can rest well at night after whole day of travelling in San Francisco).
Price: 55 USD a night per person in 4-bed dorm. Of course the price is not cheap for a dorm but this is San Francisco where accommodation is so expensive.

Adelaide hostel located at small alley nearby Union Square.

Most jam variety offering from a hostel. I have stayed in many hostel around the globe but never seen such an extensive jam/bread spread selection.

Fruits offering were great as well.

Nice kitchen with many types of breads to select as well.
Common area to have breakfast.

Nice and clean bed room but the upper bed is too high. Huge locker provided at the bottom of lower bed.

Bathrooms and restrooms.

Mango53 Inn @ Taipei, Taiwan

Long Shan temple MRT is just a few steps away and near the night market. The surroundings have many food options and the food is good. Location wise is excellent as near Taipei main MRT station and Ximen which is harajuku of Taiwan. Although I staying in 8 bed dorm, the dorm condition is clean. For those who carry a lot of things, please beware as the stair on this hostel are quite narrow and steep. Clean filtered water is also provided in their common area. My only complaint is the shower water temperature is unstable. It gets too hot or too cold after a while of shower.

Rating:8/10(Good hostel. Recommended for solo traveller. For couple, you may book their two bedroom. But you need to book early as this hostel is selling out fast. Good location and near MRT with the best night market around).
Price:8/10(Cheap. I took the 8 bed dorm which only cost me around TWD500 a night. Stay 6 nights here for TWD3000 ~ USD100).

My dorm.

Hotel Neptune @ Paris, France

For those who follow my blog, you are sure wondering where did I stay during my last trip to Paris. Due to my busy schedule, I only have the convenience to post this entry now. I booked this hotel a day before I reached Paris. The hotel accepts the booking and efficiently checked me in when I reached Paris early morning since there is empty room available. This hotel is clean, good location, fast wifi and friendly reception. The location is very good as its nearby supermarket (Carrefour), eating area and just within 5 minutes walk to Place d'Italie metro station which is the intersection for 3 metro lines (line 5,6,7). It also very convenient if you plan to take RER train. From Paris Nord, you can just use line 5 and reach this hotel directly without any transfer. Do bare in mind that you many not want many transfer in Paris as this means a lot of stairs climbing with heavy luggage. If you are someone particular about wifi, this hotel is good for you as the connection is stable and fast. Grocery shopping is also easy as Carrefour is just 10 minutes away and there is also bars and French and Chinese restaurants nearby. The bed is comfortable and toilet are clean. My 5 nights stay here is good and fully recommend this hotel for everyone. If you can speak Mandarin, language is not a problem here as most of the workers here are from China.

Rating:9/10(Recommended for everyone either solo traveller, budget traveller, partner or family. The location, service and wifi is great. The place is quiet and you can rest well at night after whole day of travelling in Paris).
Price:Around USD90 or MYR290 for a twin share room per night. Good for budget traveller who wants privacy and convenience.

The Bowery House @ New York

The Bowery house is a new budget hotel in the middle of Manhattan. The hotel location is good for the price that they offer. The hotel is within walking distance of 4 subway stations. You can also walk to the near by Chinatown in the morning if you hungry and you can spent your night time in little Italy, savouring good hot dogs, browsing through night market & people watching. The hotel opened just the at right time that I really need a cheap and good stay in New York. Initially, I only managed to find the cheapest single bedroom for USD130 per night with a proper location, clean and convenience. That was one and a half month before my stay in New York. I had booked the hotel but I still keep looking for cheaper alternative once in a while. Amazingly, 3 weeks before my stay in New York, I spotted this hotel. I do all my checking around the Net to find out more about this hotel. All the review seems favourable to this new hotel and I made my decision to book this hotel at USD75 (all in) per night and cancel my previous hotel booking.

I am aware that this is the smallest room that I ever stay in my life. The room size is just one queen size bed with a single bed inside. I barely have enough space to put my things so I have to put it on the floor (except food of course). But I won't mind as I am away most of the time. The room itself is just a cubicle without ceiling so that the air condition can get into your cubicle :-)

The bathroom is an art by itself. It is beautiful, clean & new. Overall seems like you were in an Italian bathroom. Good body wash, huge sink & powerful shower. But the bathroom is without door and its quite small. But that is ok.

WIFI access in this hotel is good and the staff is quite helpful.

Rating: 8/10. Recommended for backpackers and those who don't spend much time in the room. The greatest plus point is the price, cleanliness, location and with high speed wifi that I can call back home & update my status.
Price: Around USD75 per person per night. The price is really good for single room(cubicle) since the room price in New York is outrageously expensive!

My room in a mess.

That's the door. Believe me? Its one queen size bed size.

Very nice bathroom.

No ceiling.

All the cubicle.

Surroundings was dark.

A place to hangout, socialize and online.

Dorsett Far East Hotel in Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong

After doing some research online for one week, my trip partner and me finally decided to choose this hotel to stay for 6 days 5 nights of our Hong Kong & Macau free & easy tour. Although Tsuen Wan located quite far from the MRT map but it is actually quite fast to reach to the tourist attraction area in Hong Kong. Going to Mong Kok is just 20 minutes & Hong Kong Island is just 30 minutes MRT away. The good thing about the Tsuen Wan MRT is that it is located on the Red Line which is very convenient. With this line, you don't need to make any interchange and can straight to Hong Kong Island with stop on either Admiralty or Central station. Besides that, it also near the Airport and Lantau Island.

Based on the review and google map street view, I found that this hotel is quite convenient. Just a 5 minutes walk to Tsuen Wan MRT station, just 2 minutes walk to the bus stand and food stall in the neighborhood. From the bus stand, you can take Air Bus straight to the Hong Kong International Airport with just HKD7.80 per way, the journey is quite scenic plus it only takes around 40 minutes. Every morning we have breakfast in this near by neighborhood and we don't fancy to visit those famous restaurants in the town. The food found out to be quite good compared to our country Malaysia. Overall we don't have any complaint for our 5 nights stay here other than small size in this hotel room. The facilities are good with water boiler, LCD TV, air-cond, fridge, safe box & powerful shower.

Rating:8/10. Recommended for person who don't mind the room size, on budget and not spending time in the room.
Star: 3 stars hotel.
Price:Around RM110 per person a night.

Requested for twin single bed, non smoking and room with window.

Air-cond, LCD TV & mirror.

Small shower. But powerful water force.

Reasonable toilet.

LCD TV, water boiler, safe box & clothes hanger.

Fraser Place Serviced Residences in Makati, Manila

Finally my colleagues & I arrived in Manila for training. We stay in this great service apartment-Fraser Place. The apartment is huge which is good to fit 7 of us for first week and 8 of us on the second week. The location of this apartment is strategic and near to our training centre office. The major shopping malls area such as Glorietta, Greenbelt & Land Mark are also within walking distance.

This apartment also provide us with a full functional kitchen, washing machine with dryer, entertainment system, Internet broadband service, swimming pool, gymnasium & good complimentary breakfast. Since we got many Muslim colleagues here, the kitchen is very convenient for them to prepare their dinner. Now I know who is the best cook here :-). The security here is also quite good as the guard here is quite strict & they have dog to detect any explosive substances.

Having staying in this apartment for two weeks, I would recommend anyone to stay here if they happen to go to Makati, Manila if the budget permits. A night here would cost around USD80-150 person and depends on how is the room arrangement.
