Sand and Colourful Garden of Ginkakuji temple (Silver Pavilion) @ Kyoto, Japan

Ginkaku-ji is one of the city's most popular sites, and it is almost always crowded, especially during the spring and autumn. I strongly recommend visiting right after it opens or just before it closes. I went there when it almost closes and the crowd is not too bad. Ginkakuji consists of the Silver Pavilion, half a dozen other temple buildings, a beautiful moss garden and a unique dry sand garden. It is enjoyed by walking along a circular route around its grounds, from which the gardens and buildings can be viewed.

Ginkakuji is actually not in silver colour.

Unique sand garden in Ginkakuji.

Moss garden.

Nice colourful autumn feel.
