Hokkien noodles of Restaurant Ahwa @ Petaling Jaya, Selangor

Most of the review will tell you that Ahwa have the best hokkien mee in Petaling Jaya. Today, I have the opportunity to try out their hawker food as I am passing by. This place is quite popular with visitors and in the shop there are a few other stalls selling stewed duck, spring roll and fried seafood.

Taste:8/10(Good. In my opinion their hokkien mee is good but not the best I ever had. The amount of lard and dark sauce is not enough and its a bit dry. Best hokkien mee should have the moist thick sauce suck into the noodles to give the lard or "wok hei" aroma flavour. Overall the taste is good. As for their wat tan hor, they put too much starch which makes the dish quite sticky to eat. The ingredient is also lacking as well).
Price:6/10(Moderate. Each plate of hokkien mee & wat tan hor for one person priced at MYR8.00. This price is higher when compared to other hawker stall which usually only charge MYR6.00 for a plate of hokkien mee).

My hokkien mee has arrived. Fried broad noodles in dark sauce.

Wat tan hor. Cantonese fried broad noodles.
