For their lunch and dinner, Oribe offers 5 different menu - Seto, Iga, Mino, Oribe and Omakase. I choose Mino which consist of an appetizer, steamed egg custard, 13 "chef's speciality" nigiri, sushi roll, miso soup and a dessert. Each sushi were prepared fresh, delicately and with right amount of warm sushi rice. The chef already put all the necessary ingredient onto the sushi and no additional seasoning is required. Some of the sushi were served with a dash of yuzu (Japanese lime) and salt which enhanced the flavour. The chef will place each piece of sushi onto my plate and describes what I will be eating. The way the sushi is prepared is almost on par with the sushi that I tried in Tsukiji market in Tokyo. As for the price, I do agree that it is on the expensive side. But with this kind of excellent quality and authentic Japanese sushi preparation experience, the amount spent here is worth it if you love premium sushi. Make sure you have around 90 minutes to enjoy the meal.
Taste:9/10(Excellent. Fresh, good quality and tasty sushi. Great service with good presentation. Quality wise almost similar to sushi in Tsukiji Market in Tokyo. Using premium items on sushi preparation and creativity. Do take note that menu in Oribe is seasonal. They may have different offering from time to time).
Price:2/10(Expensive. It's a price to pay to have top notch sushi meal with premium quality in Kuala Lumpur. They have two Japanese chef to make good sushi with right balance of ingredient and temperature).
