Unknownz Hype Bar is hidden behind Unknownz convenience store in Tropicana Avenue mall. if you are KAWS fans then you sure like this place. They have plenty of KAWS figures all over the bars even at the ceiling.

Rating:8/10(Good. Can't comment much about the drink over here as I just ordered a beer. The drink selection is quite limited. Most probably they are quite new. Environment wise is good with plenty of crowd and gets crowded around 11.00pm. Music selection are good and not super noisy. Discussion is still possible. This place is quite trendy and more like a sports bar which focus on beer pong game. Its a good spot for Instagram pictures).
Price:4/10(Near expensive. Their beer price is similar to other bars but cocktail at higher side. The cocktail price starts at MYR40.00).

Awesome Kuala Lumpur view from Marini's On 57

The view of Petronas twin towers was spectacular on this bar and the music selection was great. Servers are attentive and prompt, the ambiance were great with good mix of visitors, tourists and business.

Taste:9/10(Delicious. Ordered their the new dawn cocktail which is mixture of rum and orange juice. Taste is good and refreshing).
Price:5/10(Near expensive. Do come here earlier from 5.00pm to 9.00pm to enjoy their sunset hour rate. Beer priced at MYR15.00 to MYR30.00 and cocktail at MYR33.00 to MYR36.00 during this hours. Although the selection of drinks during this hours are quite limited but if the view is what you looking for then this is the time to enjoy the discounted rate).


Marini's On 57 has the closest view of Petronas Towers. Located at tower 3 of Petronas Tower, this is the closest you can get to view the Petronas Twin Towers.

Wet Deck bar at W Hotel @ Kuala Lumpur

Wet Deck is pool side bar with good view of Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC). Although its not a roof top bar, but the view from this bar is quite good with pool, KLCC, Kuala Lumpur city view plus the windy feel.

Price:4/10(Expensive. The price of cocktail here starts at MYR45 and with some interesting drink such as Milo Kaw Kaw with whiskey, Milo, sweet condensed milk and espresso).

Yilo restaurant & bar @ Taman Megah, Petaling Jaya

Yilo restaurant & bar serves good chinese hawker style food and drinks. Its good place for hangout but if you prefer quiet place, then this place is not suitable. Its rather noisy and you will need to shout during conversation. I would say the environment here is a bit like the Japanese izakaya style which is noisy and smokey. Food and drink however were good and tasty.

Taste:9/10(Delicious. This place is famous to be crowded. Do come earlier or during weekend to enjoy the food and drink here. The menu is rather huge with plenty of Chinese food and cocktail selection. I ordered fried kway teow with raw egg and beef fried kway teow with raw egg. Both food were good. Drink were good especially the Guinness beer as they have salted plum taste).
Price:6/10(Moderate. The price of food item and drink here are quite reasonable. Meal for one price around MYR12 to MYR18 and cocktail start from MYR20. The signature drink here is their Guinness beer mix price at MYR48 per ceramic jug).

Lovely speakeasy bar at 61 Monarchy @ Damansara Uptown, Petaling Jaya

61 Monarchy is a nice hidden speakeasy whiskey bar in Damansara Uptown. Wide range of whiskey cocktails to try and they have good pan seared scallops in ponzu teriyaki sauce with bonito flakes. The ambiance here is fantastic and very nice decoration. The seat here is quite limited if you have big group. If you would like to explore the whiskey from around the world, you would like this place as they have so many selection and their bartenders are friendly as well. Let them know what you want to taste and your preference.

Taste:9/10(Delicious. I ordered their whiskey sour which is a cocktail that contains whisky, lemon juice, sugar, and egg white. I like it as it come in big glass which I can enjoy it longer. Their pan seared scallops in ponzu teriyaki sauce were tasty).
Price:3/10(Expensive. Cocktail here starts at MYR40 and their whiskey selection are all priced above MYR50).

Speakeasy bar of Suzie Wong @ Wisma Lim Foo Yoong, Kuala Lumpur

Suzie Wong is an old oriental theme speakeasy bar with very nice decoration and unique interior. The place has quite unique cocktails and performances. The performances can be good or bad depends on who is the performer of the night. They have different artist everyday and sometimes have cabaret show. Advisable to come during weekday if you would like to have table to watch the performance without minimum spending as its quite impossible to have it during weekend. If you hungry, you can have wanton noodles street food just outside of the bar. Do take note that this bar has dress code. Make sure wear properly and no shorts and sandals.

Taste:9/10(Tasty cocktail. I do recommend some cocktail like pandan sour and their cendol which is quite unique and localized. The other cocktails that I tried were smoked old fashioned which is combination of whiskey, bitters and orange is nice to watch but taste not quite suit me as I am not fancy on whiskey. As for matador cocktail, its too sweet and have chocolate and cinnamon. They don't have food inside the bar. Just drink).
Price:2/10(Expensive. The cocktail here range from MYR48 to MYR58. However they have performance each night).
