Lovely speakeasy bar at 61 Monarchy @ Damansara Uptown, Petaling Jaya

61 Monarchy is a nice hidden speakeasy whiskey bar in Damansara Uptown. Wide range of whiskey cocktails to try and they have good pan seared scallops in ponzu teriyaki sauce with bonito flakes. The ambiance here is fantastic and very nice decoration. The seat here is quite limited if you have big group. If you would like to explore the whiskey from around the world, you would like this place as they have so many selection and their bartenders are friendly as well. Let them know what you want to taste and your preference.

Taste:9/10(Delicious. I ordered their whiskey sour which is a cocktail that contains whisky, lemon juice, sugar, and egg white. I like it as it come in big glass which I can enjoy it longer. Their pan seared scallops in ponzu teriyaki sauce were tasty).
Price:3/10(Expensive. Cocktail here starts at MYR40 and their whiskey selection are all priced above MYR50).

Tasty cocktails at Pahit @ Pudu, Kuala Lumpur

Pahit is a gin specialty hidden bar in Kuala Lumpur. It has some sort of industrial type of ambiance and relaxing. Less crowded if you come during weekday. This is an old shop lot converted into bar and the decoration is quite creative as well.

Taste:9/10(Tasty. Refreshing drink of Laksamana which is mixture of ingredients used to make assam laksa. Lol... You can taste ginger flower, mint and lemon grass taste in this cocktail. I also tried their signature Starlight drink which is mixture of Bulldog dry gin, violet liqueur, lavender basil syrup, grapefruit juice and hibiscus soda. Both cocktail is unique and local creation).
Price:4/10(Near expensive. Price depends on which type of gin or cocktail that you choose. Their signature cocktail price around MYR36 to MYR46. They also have cheaper option of gin with tonic at MYR26).

Small bar but with quite wide selection of cocktails.

The bar sign board.

Environment outside the bar. Quiet and lay back.

Fuze Club Kuala Lumpur

Fuze Club Kuala Lumpur located at Jalan Kia Peng is just 5 minutes walk from Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. The crowd here are mostly young and their music are more to techno. Entrance price at MYR45.00 cover charge unless you purchase liquor bottle from their list of packages.

Review:6/10(Moderate. The club only have one main stage room with sizeable dance floor. The sound system and lightning is a bit lacking. Indeed during my visit, their sound system broke down twice! And have a moment of silence for 5-10 minutes each time while they sort out the technical issue. Somehow is a bit embarrassing to have this kind of issue. The DJs are boring at times with jumble up music tempo. Maybe its due to DJs effect. The DJs of the night was Naro and Chriz Ooi. Its kinda hard to follow and to expect the flow. Ventilation here is good as you don't feel strong smoky smell after the visit. Parking is available just outside the club).

Good lightning system but not impressive.

Saturday night party @ Zouk Club Kuala Lumpur

Zouk KL superclub is the largest nightclub in Malaysia comprises 11 rooms – Zouk Cafe Bar, Beer Garden, Zouk Main Room, Members' Lounge, Velvet Underground, Phuture, Ace, Imperial, Apex Lounge, Glass Box, and Balcony Deck which overlooks the Royal Selangor Golf Club. This is the only nightclub in KL which allows to operate until 5.00am. The cover charge to this club is among the cheapest when compared to others. If you enter before 12.00am, the cover charge will be minimum MYR25 for normal entrance and MYR30 for premium entrance include one drink. Do check out on their website if you want to know more details on the pricing structure. Visited this night club on a Saturday night with premium access which allow access to almost all the rooms. By 1.00am the club was very crowded and smokey. I was there to checkout the feel and to enjoy the loud music with high tech lightning systems.

Review:7/10(Moderate. Although the club is huge but only 3 rooms that has the crowd with party feel. Personally, I prefer the mainroom, Velvet and Phuture. Others are mostly for private events or for more tame environment for discussions. Music wise, Velvet has open format tunes and the rhythm/tempo does make more sense. Phuture is slightly dark and the music appeal more to those who like techno type of music. The crowd in Velvet are mostly younger as well. Main room music is cater for dancing and has the best lightning effect in the club. For group which secure a table, their space is not really private. People can still walking around through and dancing around the table which is not belongs to them. The dance stage is quite small. Do expect to have a deaf feel when you out from the club as the music is very loud).

Zouk main room.

Long crowd queuing to get inside the club.

Balcony deck.

Some kind of video music on balcony deck.

Imperial room. Tame and more quiet environment. No much crowd.

Pau lovers midnight attraction @ Kedai Kopi Ti Ee, Klang

There is a pau stall in Kedai Kopi Ti Ee in Klang which has been operating for almost 40 years. The weird thing is that they don't open during daytime or early evening. They only open from 10.00pm onwards until 2.00am. Located in a coffeeshop at the intersection of Persiaran Raja Muda Musa and Jalan Hilir, this coffeeshop can easily seen. Just opposite the obvious red colour Ambank. Even they only open at 10.00pm, the queue already started earlier than that. Myself has to wait for almost 40 minutes when I arrived at 10.30pm. Their pau does stand out from the rest on the density. Even though their pau looks smaller, but the amount of ingredient in there is very dense and full of flavour. Other than pau, the stall also sells dim sum.

Taste:7/10(Moderate. I like their mushroom pau as it contain generous amount of mushrooms. The taste is good. As for their large pau, the ingredient is quite dense and with much meat. The skin of pau sold here is also thinner. Taste wise is not that great for large pau. Very good portion to fill up hungry person).
Price:4/10(Near expensive. I noticed their price is higher but the pau getting smaller recently and their amount of ingredient is not as good. I certainly won't be queuing that long or travel that far to enjoy the pau. You can get better pau elsewhere in Klang).

Very long queue when arrived at 10.30pm.

Almost there.

Wow, they have so much variety of dim sum. Feel greedy want to buy all after queuing for so long :-)

Check out the famous flavour.

I don't manage to buy their san yuk pau as it was finished when reached my turn!

Large pork bun looks good.

Yummy mushroom pau.

Chicken feet dim sum.

The shop from out side. Remember, Kedai Kopi Ti Ee.

Brought their char siew pau, mushroom pau and large pork pau.

Look at the ingredient. Its quite dense.

Mushroom pau with generous amount of mushrooms, pork and egg.
