Mitaseimenjo @ Shinjuku, Tokyo

Last year I been to this restaurant for its udon. The udon is quite good and succulent. This time I am satisfied after having udon here for the second time. Do you know why? This time I ordered large size instead of medium. But I having hard time to finish it as the noodles is too much! The broth is mixture of chicken, fish and pork.

Taste:9/10(Delicious. The udon noodles when mixed with the soup is good. The soup contains seaweed and some kind of bamboo shoots. Plus there is some pork slices in there as well).
Price:6/10(Moderate. Big bowl of noodles for 800 Yen. The portion is quite big and its filling).

Large noodles that I ordered. I have eaten 500 gramme of noodles!

This is how to eat udon. Take some of the noodles and soak it into the soup. If the soup is not enough, you can top it up with fish broth. The first time I was here, I not sure what is the stainless steel jar for. So I just pour it into my cup and drink it like water. Then I notice that the taste is something not right. Now, I know that it is fish broth to top up my soup.

They have spicy and non-spicy version. I took the non-spicy one. Spicy version is more expensive by 50 yen. If you do notice, that small and medium portion have the same price.

I tasted the best soba noodles in my life in Shinjuku near a restaurant around Shinjuku Post Office area. The soup of the noodles are said to contains pork, chicken and fish. All these 3 meat were minced and boiled for few hours to form a thick and fragrant soup which goes very well with the freshly made soba noodles.

Taste:9/10(Delicious. Flavourful noodle meal).
Price:I can't really remember how much does a bowl of these soba noodles cost. But I would think it is around 800 Yen.

This restaurant has been operating since 1956. Even my father also know it is very famous and tasty. Their soup is something to shout about. The broth is a mixture of fragrant beef & salted vegetables which makes the soup so tasty. You can have the noodles just purely with beef without the internal organs or with a mixture of everything.

Taste:9/10(Delicious. Tasty soup and delicious meat/internal organs).
Price:7/10(Cheap. MYR6 for a large bowl of noodles with beef).

Pho Hoa @ Paseo Center, Makati

Pho Hoa is a Vietnamese chain restaurant which have outlets in USA, Canada and Asia. For me in Vietnamese restaurant, you must try their beef noodles. If that dish is done correctly, that's means that they are really serious on making the business growing and they are really good at it. I can see that every outlet of this restaurant in Philippines is really full of customers especially during lunch & dinner.

Taste:9/10(Delicious. Their beef noodle portion is big and taste is good, above average. Soup is nice without trace of artificial additive. I do like they served raw vegetables and don't mind to add more).
Price:6/10(Moderate. The price of a bowl of large beef noodles around 200 Peso which is quite reasonable).

Look out for this sign. Pho Hoa - Noodle soup. Their noodle soup is indeed good.

The prawn is very big but the price can reach RM35-45 for a large prawn. Located near the tourist attraction area, no wonder their price is higher).

Taste:8/10(Good. I still thinks that Malaysia beef noodles is better. The soup base here is different and they use radish instead of salted vegetables back in KL).

At first I thought hokkien noodles is like the stir fry noodles broad noodles with black soy sauce like in KL. But hokkien noodles in Penang is actually prawn noodles. I would think the Penang hokkien noodles served in this Pulau Tikus shop is quite good although my other food trip members thinks the other way. Maybe this is my first time having it.

Taste:8/10(Delicious. The soup base and the prawn plus some pork is good and I like this type of hokkien noodles compared to the ones in KL).
Price:6/10(Moderate. I would think the price of RM4 is a bit high for a bowl of noodles).
