Good roasted chicken at Dave's Deli @ Subang Parade, Subang Jaya

Dave's Deli is famous for their original quarter roast chicken. They also have slow cooked beef ribs, pasta meals, gourmet pies and grilled fish. As usual, I will always order the restaurant signature dish or they best for.

Taste:8/10(Good. I do recommend to order their quarter chicken set. The gravy taste good and sides are great as well).
Price:6/10(Moderate. Quarter roasted chicken set with salad, coleslaw, mash and gravy at MYR19.60).


I didn't put high expectation on this meal. It turns out to be good. The gravy taste great with tender roasted chicken.

Underrated lobster roll from Pauli's @ North End, Boston

Pauli's is a small shop located in North End, Boston offering reasonable priced subs, wraps, Italian food and lobster roll. They also cater for takeout, delivery and catering. For the local, this shop is quite famous for its lobster roll. If not because for my walking tour guide told me that this shop has among the best lobster roll in town, I might have waiting in the queue at Neptune Oyster next door. If you lookout for Pauli's in the Internet, you can hardly find any article which would rate them to have among the best lobster roll. Neptune Oyster often rated at no 1 for its lobster roll but the queue to have food in this restaurant is forever long. Pauli's environment was rather different. Not many patrons in their shop and I can have my lobster roll within 5 minutes. Amazingly the fast lobster roll which I get from Pauli's, was superb.

Taste:10/10(Excellent. Upon my first bite of the lobster roll was a burst of flavor with smooth and warm butter coating the delicate lobster meat. The huge portion of lobster meat suits very well with soft bread roll. The lobster meat were full of flavour. Well coated with butter with slight salty taste provided a perfect balance to the natural flavors of the lobster. The potato chips provided also complemented the meal very well. Simple but amazingly delicious).
Price:3/10(Expensive. The hot lobster roll priced at USD18.99 with chips. For cold version of lobster roll, its sold at USD16.99).

Wow, the smell and taste very good. Well and lightly coated with butter. Fresh red lobster colour.

Looks small but you will satisfied with the portion and taste.

Bijou Cafe @ Portland, Oregon

Bijou Cafe is one of the better place to have lunch in Downtown Portland. They served many kinds of French style omelets, hash, sandwich, burger, Quesadilla, pastrami, salad, pancakes and toast. I saw this cafe is quite full during lunch time so I decided to have my lunch here.

Taste:7/10(Moderate. The food served were good and I like the combination of fried oysters, bacon and onions. However the fried oysters needs to be improved as I think its a bit soggy).
Price:5/10(Near expensive. The price for the French style omelets with oysters at USD14.95. The apple cider cost USD3.00).

Green and red pepper sauce.

I ordered a French style Omelets with oysters. The oysters mixed with bacon and onions. It served with sauteed potatoes, Whole Wheat Toast and Baguette.

I had a terrible cough & flu during my lunch time and the waitress is kind enough to offer me ginger ale to reduce the cough. Service were fast and friendly.

Obododo Cafe @ Pere-Lachaise, Paris

After walking for whole morning at famous Pere-Lachaise Cemetery, I came out for food hunt. With nothing in mind, I walk around the area and look for restaurant and take a look on their menu. I found Obododo cafe located just beside the cemetery Rue du Repos entrance. Initially I plan to order spinach sandwich with cheese. However, I saw something board written "today's special". I not sure what is that and the waiter told me it is pork. So I decided to give it a try.

When the meal is ready on my table, the pork rib presentation is not that good. But the sight is deceiving. It is indeed very good.

Taste:9/10(Delicious. Good preparation for the pork rib. Very soft meat and great sauce. Mixture of special sauce and honey makes this dish perfect and well blend with the mash potatoes).
Price:6/10(Moderate. Reasonable price for good meal. The meal of the day together with grapefruit juice cost EUR17.30).

Oud Holland @ Amsterdam

Its quite surprisingly that not easy to find traditional Dutch cuisine in Amsterdam. On one night, I having tough time to find a shop to dine in. I am looking for a good traditional Dutch cuisine but I stumbled upon this restaurant that seems to cater to tourist looking for that. The waiter suggest me to take the Dutch mix but what he didn't realise that I am alone! When the meal came, it was a lot! I can say its easily enough for 2-3 persons. Not only that the meal is not that good, the amount is so much until I am having hard time to finish it.

Taste:5/10(So-so. The meat is hard and blend. The only good about the menu is the beetroot with carrot).
Price:4/10(Expensive. Dutch mix at EUR20.00 and mineral water at EUR2.75. Some more the water is so expensive. Don't come here if you have other options).
