Hello Kitty baggage tag by Eva Air - Taipei to Kuala Lumpur (Economy Class)

There are 3 full service airlines flying between Taipei and Kuala Lumpur. This time, I plan to try out Eva Air as they have good timing. Departs in the morning at 940am and I am able to reach home by afternoon. Other airlines would be Malaysia Airlines and China Airlines. You should take Malaysia Airlines if you plan to have another lunch in Taipei. They departs from Taipei at around 3.30pm. While China Airlines timing is too early for me. Overall good experience on Eva Air. Good food and pretty flight stewardess :-P

Hello Kitty on baggage tag!

Food by Eva Air. Main dish is the chicken with rice. Apple and honeydew. Corn and lettuce salad. Sesame sweet cake as dessert.

Again rice with scallion.

Snack packet with green beans and crackers.

Standard economy class cabin. Nothing extraordinary.

Yong Kang beef noodles @ Taipei

A visit to Taipei should try at least one time traditional style beef noodles. Although the beef noodles is not as good as Niu Dian that I reviewed earlier, but its certainly good as well. The soup is thick and beefy. Located not too far from Yongkang commercial district, this shop is quite near to Dongmen MRT station.

Taste:8/10(Delicious. The taste is good but I think not every one may like the taste as the beef taste is too strong. The mustard add on is something new).
Price:6/10(Moderate. A bowl of normal beef noodles with tendon cost TWD200 ~ MYR21 ~USD7.10).

Very thick looking beef noodles. The broth is dark and taste very beefy.

You may add some mustard into your beef noodles.

Scallion pancake @ Yong Kang Street, Taipei

Yong Kang Street is a popular destination for foodies who come to Taipei. It is similar to the night markets, but Yong Kang Street offers a higher quality of goods along posher store fronts. While I was walking on Yong Kang street, one stall selling pancake caught my attention. The queue is long and I can see that the pancake maker are very skilful. The scallion pancake is a very simple dish. It is a savoury flat bread folded with oil and minced scallions. It is made from pre prepared dough instead of batter. This is just like roti canai back in Malaysia.

During the cooking proccess, the cook keeps fluffing the dough up. The end product is an incredibly soft piece of warm savoury pancake. You have the option to include eggs, ham, cheese and basil.

Taste:9/10(Delicious. Great and tasty pancake. Crispy outside and soft at centre. Amazingly, its not oily).
Price:8/10(Cheap. TWD25 ~ MYR2.70 ~ USD0.88 for scallion pancake without any additional item).

Their packaging.

Simple but delicious.

Taste:10/10(Excellent. This is what beef noodles suppose to be. Rich soup, tender meat, tendon which melts in your mouth and of course cow's stomach).
Price:6/10(Moderate. A bowl of mixed beef noodles with tendon, beef & stomach cost TWD220 ~ MYR24 ~ USD7.70).
