Restoran TSY Claypot Kari Mee Anuar Tho @ Klang

Restoran TSY is a famous Chinese muslim claypot curry noodles in Klang. Plenty of seafood and noodles in the pot.

Taste:8/10(Good. I satisfied with the ingredients in the curry pot. Plenty of seafood and have the items that I like. The food were good and authentic and the curry is not overly spicy).
Price:8/10(Cheap. A claypot of curry noodles for two persons is only RM16.00. The portion is quite huge).

Nice seafood curry noodles with fresh crunchy bean sprout. This claypot has lots of prawns, sting ray, long bean, tofu and bean sprouts.

Its an old shop in Klang. Operated by old Chinese man married to Malay wife.

Still early. Not many people yet.

Banana leaf meal at Curries N Claws @ Citta Mall, Ara Damansara

**Note: This restaurant has closed down. The food getting worse before its closing**
Banana leaf restaurant is another new addition to Citta Mall list of interesting eating place. They have awesome fried bitter gourd and rasam. Do try out their varieties of curries such as crab, squid and cockles curries as those are their specialities. They use better briyani for rice unlike others which use normal rice. Good value meal and taste good.

Taste:9/10(Delicious. Their fried bitter gourd and rasam soup are better than other banana leaf restaurant. Their spicy level is a bit too hot for me but taste good).
Price:7/10(Moderate. Banana leaf meal at MYR10.90. Quite reasonable price considering you can eat as much as you wish and tasty meal).

Tasty banana leaf meal. Their fried bitter gourd taste awesome and crunchy.

Eat as much as you wish.

Environment in the restaurant.

They also provide outdoor seating.

Disappointing char koay teow @ Sisters Place, Ara Damansara

Sister's Place located just beside Evolve Mall in Ara Damansara is supposingly provide Penang version of food such as char koay teow and curry. However, the taste here were not up to my standard. Although this place is pork free, but they could do it better.

Taste:4/10(So-so. The char koey teow does not have wok hei and does not have fragrant smell and taste. The curry is very diluted and colour not same as in the menu. Colour is out and tasteless).
Price:5/10(Near expensive. Special char koay teow at MYR13.90 which is outrageous. Just a couple of prawns, squid and cockles. The portion is also small. As for curry in chee cheong fun and noodles, it was diluted. Charging MYR8.50 for a bowl of curry noodles is high).

Small portion of special char koay teow. Expensive and taste not that good.

Different curry colour compared to menu and diluted. This chee cheong fun dish is pricey.

The curry noodles does not look appetizing either.

The menu.

Pricey meal.

Raj's Banana Leaf @ SS15, Subang Jaya

Raj's banana leaf restaurant located in SS15 Subang Jaya is my favourite choice if I am very hungry and would like to be vegetarian for a day. You can have as much rice and vegetables as you want for a banana leaf meal. If you are big eater, I would recommend to add on their meat dishes such as fried fish, squid and curry chicken. Their fried fish and squid are fried fresh when you order. Pleasantly surprised at the very decent quality and cleanliness of the restaurant. This restaurant is quite accessible via public transport as its just located beside the newly completed SS15 LRT station.

Taste:8/10(Good. I like their fried bitter gourd and curries. It goes very well with rice and taste great).
Price:7/10(Moderate. Banana leaf rice at MYR7.50. You will have 4 types of vegetables, rasam, assam, 2 pieces of papadum, dried chili and choice of curries).

Complete banana leaf rice. Request more rice or vegetables if you really hungry :-). My standard order will be the banana leaf rice with hot lime juice.

Good curries.

Their other meat dishes are good as well.

Spacious, clean and cosy environment.

Rich nyonya laksa at Baba Low's @ Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur

Baba Low's located quite hidden in housing area of Bangsar and can be considered as hidden gem. If you like nyonya food, here is the place for you. Their food is a mix of local and Chinese flavour. Parking is limited and quite hard to come by especially during lunch time.

Taste:7/10(Moderate. Typical Malaysian food. I found that the nyonya laksa is too spicy and with too much cucumber and rich coconut milk. You can taste the coconut milk richness in this bowl of nyonya laksa. Very generous portion of cockles. The popiah taste rather normal).
Price:6/10(Moderate. A bowl of nyonya laksa at MYR8.00 and popiah with egg skin at MYR5.00. The nyonya laksa is quite compact with ingredients with much fish cakes, cockles, cucumber and tofu).

My meal: nyonya laksa, popiah and barley drink.

Baba Low's famous curry laksa.

The amount of cockles in this dish is overwhelming. I like it anyway.

Taste:9/10(Delicious. Their Pranic juice is great and refreshing. It's a some sort of vegetables and herbs drink which is made of fresh mint, coriander, ginger, lime, pepper, black salt, honey and cumin. The masala thosai is good with tasty potato masala).
Price:5/10(Near expensive. The price is higher when compared to other Indian restaurant. However, you get to try speciality here which is not available elsewhere. Pranic juice at MYR7.00 is one of the unique drink which can't get elsewhere. I ordered masala thosai thali set priced at MYR11.90).

GEM Restaurant located opposite of NU Sentral Mall is a semi fine dining restaurant specialises in both Northern and Southern Indian cuisine. There has been in the exact location for decades and that prove that the meal must be good in order to survive that long. They serve both meat and vegetarian food options. The environment in the restaurant is great and looks classy. As their location is near to KL Sentral public transportation hub, you will be some tourists dine here as well.

Taste:8/10(Good. Among the food ordered below, tawa prawns is the best. Its something unique compared to others. Overall food here is good with adequate level of spice in the cooking).

Good Arabic cuisine at Dima Restaurant @ Ara Damansara

Dima Restaurant previously located in Oasis Ara Damansara has now moved to a new location in Taipan 2 of Ara Damansara. What surprise me is they have Arabic rice dinner set at a reasonable price.

Taste:8/10(Good. Tender lamb and rice taste good. However the sauce which comes with this set was too spicy for me. It taste like salsa sauce but its too spicy. Overall I do recommend to have dinner here).
Price:7/10(Moderate. The lunch/dinner set of mutton rice at MYR13.99 exclude GST. It comes with huge mandi rice, lamb, Arabic gravy, spicy sauce and hot pull tea. Portion wise were big and can easily satisfy any big eater).
