Lunch set at Marble 8 @ KLCC

Marble 8 is a fine dining restaurant that you can't go on your own without escort :-). In order to access level 56 of Menara 3 Petronas, the restaurant staff will escort you thru the 2 lifts and need to pass by a security check. Marble 8 restaurant interior were quite elegant black. I choose their 4 course meal lunch set which includes an appetizer, pasta, main course and dessert. The pasta portion itself is quite huge and filling.

Taste:8/10(Good. Special mention to their crispy bread as it is very good. The appetizer and pasta are both creamy and tasty. The steak combination were already good but slightly hard. Just wondering of why the recommendation of the steak to be prepared as medium when it should be best on medium rare).
Price:4/10(Near expensive. The price for lunch set is quite reasonable and big portion. You won't get such good price if you were to dine here for dinner. 3-course lunch set at MYR78.00 and 4-course at MYR118.00. Subject to service charge of 10% and tax of 6%)

Grilled black Angus fillet with with cannellini beans, spring onion & beef jus.

The bread and olive condiments is quite tasty.

Dining cutlery.

Burrata cheese with Japanese momotaro tomatoes & asparagus salad.

Tagliatelle with Wagyu bolognese.

Fresh sashimi at Yamada Japanese Restaurant @ Subang Jaya

Visited this restaurant this week for dinner and find out that their sashimi rice set were quite fresh and delicious. The interior of the restaurant is very Japanese with wooden wall and ambient lightning. I like the place because it's cosy, and food is authentic. It's run by an old Japanese chef who prepares the sashimi himself. The restaurant also well stocked with sake and Japanese beer and Choya. The pricing in this restaurant is higher than the other Japanese restaurant within the same row but you get the quality of what you are paying for. The portion is quite huge as well.

Taste:9/10(Delicious. I do recommend to have their sashimi and raw stuff here as they are fresh and tasty. The standard is almost similar that you dine in Japan with nice cosy Japanese style environment. The sashimi slice were quite large and thick. Preferable to come on Tuesday and Friday as the items will be very fresh on that day).
Price:3/10(Expensive. The price here is slightly more expensive with other Japanese restaurant within the same row of shops. Dinner set starts at MYR60.00 here. But for the price that you pay, you get a better quality food item here. I took their sashimi and unagi dinner set which cost MYR85.00 exclude GST. The good things is they don't charge service charge).

Hot towel and green tea provided.

Very traditional looking restaurant. Its normal weekday. So not many people around.

Maison Georges Larnicol @ Rue de Rivoli, Paris

This is another surprise food shop which I found accidently. I am actually quite amazed when pass by to this chocolate shop. They sell lots of chocolate, biscuits and macarons. When you come to France, you should try their macarons. The chocolate decoration is very beautiful and high level of crafting skills.

Taste:8/10(Delicious. The macarons does melts in your mouth. Its fresh and crunchy soft).
Price:6/10(Moderate. I brought 5 pieces of macarons for Euro 2.50. I found it quite reasonable and taste good. Assorted flavour of strawberry, caramel, rose, chocolate & coffee).

Its around 9.00pm now and this lady still preparing macarons for display.

My impression on macarons is bad due to taste. I tried twice made in Malaysia and Thailand. Since I am in Paris and their macarons looks really fresh and nice, I brought a mixture of flavours to try it out and guess what, the taste is good.

The chocolate in this shop are nicely decorated. In this picture, you can see that the red shoe is shining.

Flower pot chocolate.

Wow, so many kinds of chocolate.
