Lunch set at Marble 8 @ KLCC

Marble 8 is a fine dining restaurant that you can't go on your own without escort :-). In order to access level 56 of Menara 3 Petronas, the restaurant staff will escort you thru the 2 lifts and need to pass by a security check. Marble 8 restaurant interior were quite elegant black. I choose their 4 course meal lunch set which includes an appetizer, pasta, main course and dessert. The pasta portion itself is quite huge and filling.

Taste:8/10(Good. Special mention to their crispy bread as it is very good. The appetizer and pasta are both creamy and tasty. The steak combination were already good but slightly hard. Just wondering of why the recommendation of the steak to be prepared as medium when it should be best on medium rare).
Price:4/10(Near expensive. The price for lunch set is quite reasonable and big portion. You won't get such good price if you were to dine here for dinner. 3-course lunch set at MYR78.00 and 4-course at MYR118.00. Subject to service charge of 10% and tax of 6%)

Grilled black Angus fillet with with cannellini beans, spring onion & beef jus.

The bread and olive condiments is quite tasty.

Dining cutlery.

Burrata cheese with Japanese momotaro tomatoes & asparagus salad.

Decent pizza at Mikey's New York Pizza @ Citta Mall, Ara Damansara

Citta Mall has a new restaurant to have good pizza. They provide a nice variety of various toppings, many of which combine some interesting flavours. The Mexican beef provides a flavourful pizza experience and the 911 will satisfy those who crave a super spicy pizza. Vegetarian may like their wild mushroom pizza. This place not only serve pizza but you can also have waffle fries, spicy buffalo chicken and pasta.

Taste:8/10(Good. The taste of the pizza is almost comparable to what I had overseas. This is what a good pizza supposed to be. I tried their beef loco mexicano and it taste good and spicy. Do try out the waffle fries as they are good as well).
Price:4/10(Near expensive. A slice of pizza cost from MYR9.95 to MYR17.88 depends on the flavour that you choose. Although its pricey, the quality and taste is there to justify for its price).

Mikey's spiciest pizza. The 9-1-1 pizza. I haven't try yet but look at the amount of chili padi in there.

Mama's wild mushroom pizza. Looks good. Going to try this next round.

SP Setia TRIO - One Day in Italy event - Complimentary food

TRIO by SP Setia is a new mixed development in Klang skyline with various convenience such as the proposed Tesco Bukit Tinggi LRT 3 station, well connected to major highways and urban lifestyle. The concept seems interesting but the price tag of the property reaching almost MYR400,000 for a small 650 square feet is quite pricey on Klang standard. Furthermore this development is based on commercial title which means your utilities and amenities fees will be higher.

Regardless of the high price tag, SP Setia are doing a good job in promoting the property via various events and activities thru out the months after the launching. The fun-filled Italian-themed event hosted by S P Setia Bhd feature activities for the entire family such this Italian cooking demonstration and an Italian marketplace. Visitors also get the chance to taste six Italian dishes and help choose the “champion” of them all. The event was held on 19th August 2017.

Quite a number of visitors to the event. Who don't want free Italian food?

Visitor queue up for their portion of food.

Visitors get to enjoy 6 different types of Italian food. Taste quite good as they are all competing to be the top.

Contemporary European Cuisine @ 2nd Floor, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kuala Lumpur

Having a dinner here with a friend to try out this newly opened restaurant. 2nd Floor is a new kid on the block surrounded by top restaurants in the neighbourhood serving contemporary European cuisine. In 2nd Floor, the cuisine is more toward German styled food as they have a good German masterchef, Gerhard Albrecht. The concept of the food here is focused on using natural products and bringing European taste with a slight local twist. Some of the specialties here includes pork ribs, barley soup and ginger creme brulee.

Taste:8/10(Delicious. The main highlight here were their tropical pork ribs. Taste very good with sauteed apple. The sauce which comes with the pork ribs has a slight sourish taste and its nicely done as well. Their crab cakes are yummy. Quite creative to have sourish and slight spicy sauce to accompany the crab cakes. They also have maultaschen which is quite unique as most of the time, the maultaschen is in the form of dumplings. But here are pan fried version with onions and egg).
Price:5/10(Near expensive. Pricing wise are quite reasonable and affordable for Western type of dining. The appetizer are still within the MYR20 range. 2NDFLR special salad at MYR20, pan fried crab cake at MYR32, barley soup at MYR11, maultaschen at MYR25 and tropical pork ribs at MYR55).

2nd Floor located at TTDI.

Nice cosy outdoor seating.

If you need more formal and quiet discussion, they also have air-conditioned section.

My first meal here started with 2NDFLR special salad. Its with Romaine lettuce, parmesan cheese, croutons, poached egg and bacon. Great combination of vegetables together with bacon fat.

Delicious with strong butter and garlic taste. Crunchy garlic bread.

Barley soup. This version of barley soup is almost identical to your mom's home cooked soup with love. Boiled with vegetables and chicken broth.

Poached eggs was nicely done.

Pan fried crab cake. Consist of breaded crab meat, chili jam and orange salad. Crab cake together with the jam and orange makes an excellent combination.

Pan fried maultaschen with egg. Comes with prawn and salad. Their maultaschen is prepared in gerostet style which the pasta is cut into pieces then pan fried with onions and egg.

This is how maultaschen content look like.

My main meal here was Tropical pork ribs. Tender slow cooked pork ribs with combination of orange, poppy seeds, saffron and yoghurt dip. The sauteed apple taste well together with the pork ribs.

Outside seating if you wish to have warmer environment.

Salmon aglio spaghetti at Oregi Restaurant @ SS15, Subang Jaya

Oregi in SS15 Subang Jaya is also a student favourite place for lunch, dinner or hangout for supper at night. The place offering many Arabic and Western cuisine to suit each individual preference. The attraction here is reasonable priced meal, good portion and good food. Their popular menu will be their carbonara spaghetti, mandy lamb and black pepper chicken. Other attraction is of course their shisha. Its not an Arabic style restaurant if without shisha.

Taste:8/10(Good. The salmon aglio spaghetti that I ordered was good. I opt for this meal over carbonara spaghetti due to I prefer something light on that day. The aglio spaghetti turn out to be flavourful and spicy with garlic, cheese, herbs and sufficient amount of salmon flakes. Do try out their signature drink which is combination of fizzy soda, mint and spices).
Price:6/10(Moderate. Ordered aglio spaghetti with salmon flakes at MYR18.50 and their fizzy special drink at MYR3.00. The food comes with 3 size portion - regular, large and giant).

Salmon aglio spaghetti. I ordered large size. The portion is just nice for me on that day.

Oregi special drink. Quite refreshing drink with mint.

Atlantic Fish Company located within walking distance from central of Boston Copley light rail station. The restaurant is quite popular. I arrived at around 6.00pm and it's already crowded. I choose this restaurant as it's convenient for me and it's near to Boston Public library and Newbury street. My next stop is going to be the Museum of Fine Arts. Since its wednesday night, the museum have pay as you wish entrance fee. So, I opt for a quick dinner here then straight to the museum. The Daily Catch is a small and simple restaurant with only 20 seats. No reservation is required and cash only establishment. The food here is delicious. I only have a chance to try out their black pasta which they are known for. The kitchen is open so you can watch all the chef action in preparing your food.
