Delicious nasi lemak burger from myBurgerLab @ Sunway - SamsungPay redemption

myBurgerLab was inspired by the success of a few famous burger joint overseas such as ShakeShack (US), In-N-Out (US), Grill’d (Australia) and GBK (UK). They have done it well and invented many kinds of creative burger flavours that is delicious and with quality ingredients. When the food is good, people don't mind to pay slightly premium for it. The nasi lemak burger that I tried has all the necessary ingredients that a good burger should have. I know the burger is oily, messy and huge, but that is what a good burger should have.

Taste:9/10(Delicious. The nasi lemak burger does taste great. The fried chicken were crispy and juicy. Together with crushed anchovies and peanut butter a good combination. The burger not overly spicy and sambal chicken rendang were fragrant from the first bite).
Price:5/10(Near expensive. The nasi lemak burger priced at MYR18.80. Its not cheap for a burger but the ingredients and quality is awesome. I use my SamsungPay 550 points to redeem the burger so free dinner for me).

Nasi lemak burger with signature black bun. Rendang Sauce combined with pickles, topped with peanut butter, sambal, sunny side egg, chopped anchovies and a huge chunk of crispy crunchy Thai style fried chicken.

Taste:8/10(Good. Chili cream mussels were good and the slight spicy sauce makes the dish taste well. Creamy mushroom tapas is a must order as the mushroom taste good and punched with flavour. Their chicken teriyaki with soba noodles is good just slightly salty. I guess due to the soy sauce. As for the nasi lemak, their sambal were not good enough and can be improved. Fried nasi lemak from Vasagie @ Teluk Pulai, Klang

I have been away for a while to concentrate on my own studies and to discover new eating place. Don't have much time during these 4 months to write about my discoveries especially on food. I am back now and I would like to introduce a menu which not many people heard of. It's fried nasi lemak. How many of us ever tried this meal? The taste is just like combination of nasi lemak and fried rice. If you want to try this dish, you can have it from Vasagie restaurant also known as Esso mamak, located in Teluk Pulai, Klang. Besides fried nasi lemak, this restaurant also serves other indian food such as tosey, roti canai, fried chicken, fried noodles and naan bread.

Taste:7/10(Moderate good. Their fried chicken and tosey masala taste good. Fried nasi lemak is a bit spicy for me with the taste almost similar like plain nasi lemak).
Price:8/10(Cheap. The food here is quite reasonable. A plate of fried nasi lemak at MYR4.00, fried chicken at MYR3.50 and tosey masala at MYR3.50).

Besides nasi lemak, the restaurant also have assam laksa, pan mee and nasi dagang. All those are Malaysian favourite food items. The only set back is the lack of parking in this area.

Tasty pork rendang nasi lemak from Brilliant Nasi Lemak House @ Bukit Tinggi Klang Branch

Brilliant Nasi Lemak house started in Kepong back in July 2010. Over the years, they have expanded their business to have branches in Puchong, Damansara Utama and Kota Damansara. They just open a new outlet in Bukit Tinggi Klang in Oct 2015. Their nasi lemak set is their best seller with side order choice of pork rendang, chicken nyonya, stuffed squid and shrimp. Their sambal is tasty, moist and with nicely diced onions in them. Unlike some of the nasi lemak shops with black and dry type of sambal.

Taste:9/10(Delicious. Fragrant rice cooked with adequate coconut milk. Tasty pork rendang and chicken nyonya. Sambal was wonderful. Anchovies and peanut were crunchy and fresh. They did it right on all the ingredient that a good nasi lemak should have. Among the best nasi lemak tasted).
Price:7/10(Moderate. Nasi lemak set with two choices of side order at MYR11.80 and barley bean curd drink at MYR2.80. The drink portion is huge).

Nasi Lemak Hilton Corner @ Wisma Genting Hawker Stall

There is one stall at Wisma Genting food court which have long queue every morning on weekday. This stall selling nasi lemak with a few pots of curries. They have damn good squid, fish, chicken and eggs curry. The nasi lemak here is quite different. It follows the nasi kandar style. The hot coconut rice when mixed with the curries (squid, fish, chicken & eggs) is really good. I will always stop by here if I happen to go to Kuala Lumpur during weekday.

Taste: 10/10(Excellent & mixture of many types of sambal/curries. This is the best nasi lemak I that I had so far. The great thing about the curry is that it never gets too spicy and the spiciness level is just great).
Price: 8/10(Cheap. Mixture of 4 types of dish only cost you MYR5.00).

Don't judge the meal but its look. This meal is really good. The nasi lemak is moist when combined with dishes and curries, it become excellent breakfast.

This is how the nasi lemak looks like if you take away. Normal coconut rice with curries without the additional items.

Madam Kwan's @ Midvalley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur

This is my fourth time to Madam Kwan's outlet and so far it has been providing a satisfying experience and good tasting food.

Taste:9/10(Delicious. For me their beef rendang is superb. Not rubbery and quite tender and flavourful. Their nasi lemak is among the best but beware of the big portion and the 'lemak' that you need to indulge (previous visit). Their mushroom chicken rice is also good with succulent chicken and mushroom).

Madam Kwan's @ Pavilion, KL

I have heard a lot about the Madam Kwan's nasi lemak and this time I went down to Pavilion for the taste of their ever famous nasi lemak. Their chicken rendang serving was large and I was very full after finished that dish. The nasi lemak was not too spicy and it is quite delicious. For most of us, RM14 for a dish of nasi lemak is not worth it. But once you tried, it is not that bad after all.

Taste:9/10(Delicious. Among the best nasi lemak that I ever tasted. Their nasi lemak is on par with the nasi lemak served by Malaysian Airlines).
Price:3/10(The food here is quite expensive but the quality is good and the portion is large. Service is good and food served fast).
